Marijuana should be 100% legal, for anyone over the age of 18. It's a plant, that's illegal status goes back to the 1800,s and was made illegal, by a shady politician, to protect the interests of an already rich lumber mogul. Most of the arguments against the medical use of marijuana, come from big pharmaceutical companies.

There is a kind of maryjane that contains thc and does not give a high and gives help to patients that have a condition
where they go into seizures. in this case a small girl/child
other med effects are significant
Colorado doctors where it is legal recreationally are seeing babies with thc in their systems and it retards BRAIN growth in children

as far as age 18 aspect- I have changed and think all drinking should be age 21 all states
18 yr olds are still to immature even for pot
more study needed in wash and Colorado- where they made a mistake.
the plant argument does not work with me

I agree with your point,it should be 100% legal, and regulated like cigarettes. That is, if you can fire up a fatty in public, I can fire up a fucking Marlboro. ;-)
It's a cannabis oil called Charlotte's Web, named for the girl in question. All of the benefits, with none of the "benefits".
I'm not a fan of the plant argument, either. Tobacco is also a plant, and that kills motherfuckers left and right.
The age should be 18 - or 21 - across the board: To drink, smoke and die in fucking wars.
Also, anyone dumb enough to smoke anything while pregnant deserves whatever happens.
...and hell yes, I'd eat opioid plants. Poppy-seed muffins are awesome.

I feel the plant argument holds up, simply because marijuana, unlike cocaine, opium, and even cigarettes, either use chemicals to create the drug, or as additives, in the case of cigarettes. Marijuana is generally just picked, and dried. As far as age goes, I think I'm going to change my mind on that, and make it 21, like alcohol.
No offense to my pot smoking friends, but it has been my experience that trying to hold a conversation with someone who smokes weed regularly is like trying to nail Jello to a wall.

they could look into reducing sentences a lot of younger people are adversely effected by it and the pot candy is a problem.

Put it with alcohol age 21. There is a 30 day detection. Many companies require a piss test to get a job. That is a bit much to deny a job.
The problem is that the government can't rake all of the dollars they want from it. Growing tobacco and making distilled beverages is much more visible to track action than growing weed. Do you regulate the number of plants? How do you control the output of the weed? Only grow enough for yourself? Can you give any to others rather selling it? Government can't get a hold on this to get their money rake.

With my card I can grow up to 12 legally for personal use. And I do, Well I only do 6 because of space but what I harvest lasts me all year till the next grow.

Explain this to me. You get a card from who? Is this a medical card or you live in a place that legalizes recreational use? How do they monitor 12 plant limit? Do they make visits to your house and count your garden? This shit can be grown in closets also.

I get what youre saying, I really do, but not being in that situation, is part of responsible use. If i knew you were stopping by, and it made you a little nutty to try and talk to me, i would wait untill you left. By the same token...see what i did there?.....if Im not expecting you, and i 2ant to just kick back and get happy, if youre a close enough friend that you would be coming over, you know Im blazed up, you shouldnt expect full sentences!
As someone that suffers through a lot of pain, and stress, it shouldnt be legally, or morally wrong for me to have an alternative to the big pharmaceutical ompanies, perscription poison. And as someone that has operated a vehical impared under both cercomstances, i am of the opinion that youre better off doing 25 in a 35, then going the wrong way down a freeway on ramp at 75 mph. I will say this, i never drive i pared anymore, that was a long time ago, with the exception of my bike. It shouldnt happen, but sometimes it does.
