I've already repped samson801 for his post, and I think I've made it clear I've bought (and LOVED) a few of Mandy's clips, but there's a point I'd like to make here.
Not long ago I was telling one of my mates that I was awaiting some porn DVDs to come that I had ordered from Stateside, and his response was "You've
bought porn? Why? You should have told me, I could have got you anything you wanted." By "got me" he meant download and burn to disc for me to save me the expense. There is an attitude that anyone who parts with actual money for their porn is a mug, and a lot of my friends will say "you've got the internet, you don't need to buy porn any more." In today's age of piracy I would imagine more than music, movies or streaming sports, porn is hardest hit by people just leeching instead of paying for what they enjoy.
My answer was simple ; "I pay for porn because I want there to be more porn." I'm not going to get on a pedestal and say I pay for
everything that titillates or arouses me - I'd hardly be a member of
FreeOnes if I did - but if there is something or someone that I really appreciate, then I show that appreciation by paying and supporting, hence I took delivery recently of 7 films featuring 4 of my favourite pornstars. On a personal note, I actually like the physical owning of real DVDs/CDs anyway with proper boxes and glossy boxart anyway.
However I think it's especially important to support - and I hope I phrase this right - an independent contractor like our Mandy (or indeed several other fine OCSMs) who are self-funded and self-promoted. Our money to them means a great deal and I'm sure the margins are often a lot finer than some admit , and I wonder how many dollars can make the difference month on month between someone continuing or thinking "it doesn't make sense to carry on." I hope I'm not being too melodramatic, but I'd implore anyone that finds themselves regularly enjoying (especially getting off to, LOL) Mandy's pics to go and by some clips to see her in motion/action - and SUPPORT her - and say that you won't be disappointed.
