MAG: massive action game

So the MAG public beta finally went live yesterday and I'm giving it a whirl right now.....

I gotta say this game is a fucking blast! So fun its nuts and its just the beta,there's limited modes. People were hating on the graphics cause its not a "mind boggling" ps3 game. Being the graphics whore that I am,I kinda wrote the game off before I tried it.

The graphics arent gonna "wow" you in 2010 like a call of dookie,GodOFwar or Killzone2 but they're still very good,much better than what people are saying and much better than the picture I had in my head. The game takes everything Call of duty does right,the cool things in killzone2,adds up to 256 players,a bunch of unique options and makes an insanely fun addictive game.

This went from Gfly to a reserve at Gstop for me just by playing 2 matches. Color me ultra impressed by this game,it blindsided me. I didnt think there would ever be an online shooter outside of call of duty that can be so fun,tight and polished....MAG is it,no doubt.

I played the beta and wasn't that impressed. It's Frontlines: Fuel of War for PS3 and I've already been playing that for 2 years.

I've been playing also and I like it even though I'm not a big FPS guy.I will say they still need to get the server working better than it is right now.Other than that,I think I really like it.

I'm not worried about servers just yet,its beta,thats what beta's are for.....

So day three of the beta and it seems like the server is improved just a little and I've noticed that they added a little bit onto one of the maps.

I think I'm starting to get a little psyched about the full finished game.

So am I Mr. Zell. I'm forcing myself not to play the beta anymore so I stay that much more stoked for the final release. I havent decided whether to buy it or keep it Gfly'd. Will prob save the money and get it 3 days after launch from Gfly,fuck it.

Jan. 26....it already went gold copy so there wont be any delays.

I pre-ordered it but after playing the beta I'm not so sure I shouldn't cancel it. The game looks good and plays well but I expected something more exciting. Maybe when the full game comes out it will change my mind. I'm going to play the beta a bit more.

Have you unlocked level 10 games yet Mr. Bolt? I havent yet......you dont get to play certain modes until level 10 and they dont let you play the 256 player game until that level as well......I'm just wondering how it is with 256 guns ablazing?

Really? Shit,I'm on level 7 with limited play right now.If that's true about the unlocking,I should be level 10 by no later than Saturday.

Thats how it works Mr. Zell. If you look at the interface,highlight some of the game modes that have the padlock and you'll see it says "level 10 needed to play this". One of them is the 256 player dominate game mode.

I'm starting to get a little pissed with this game.Yesterday,I would go between 3 maps,now it's only 2.I don't know what happened,but I'm starting to get bored.Plus,improving your arsenal is a real mf'er.It takes way too long to make any real improvement to your soldier.

I don't know,I guess I have to keep fighting until I get to level 10 so I can "hopefully" see at least one more map.

I was looking forward to this game months ago, downloaded the BETA the other day and it won't even work for me but i played it at my friends house the other day and loved it, pre-ordered it so its ready and waiting for me!

I hear ya' Mr. Zell. I played that Alaskan Mining map a billion times already......but you gotta keep in mind that they arent worried about map cycle and shit like that in a beta. They want to iron out gameplay bugs and stuff like that.

I understand your frustration but you're not pissed with the game you are pissed with the beta,theres a difference, you know what I mean? It has more MMO elements to it than Call of dookie. In Call,you level up quite rapidly. The slow progression can be a good thing since the final game will have all the modes,bells and whistles going for it......
