i had a hockey game tonight at 930 and when it was over it was 1130...perfect timimg for me to get home (back to my town from the rink) and go to the gamestop where i preordered Madden09. they are having a midnight release of the game and i figure what the heck there can't be that many people maybe a handful or 2 ..... :eek: ... :eek: ... :eek:

THERE WAS 120 PEOPLE ALREADY ON LINE WHENI PULLED UP AT 12:02.....FUCK THAT! Ill get it tomorrow....

EA is gonna put out a patch that's going to make him a member of the jets . You will also be able to download a new cover for the game that will feature Brett Favre in a Jets uniform instead of the Packers .

I know its still early but I think for the second year in a row NCAA Football is better then Madden.Maybe its just me,but I'll definetly give it a second thought

I'm really getting tired of EA's exclusivity with football , It allows them to do whatever they want and not worry about any competition whatsoever . I hope some day 2k games gets the chance to make another NFL game because they where the best .

i love and STILL have nfl2k5 with T.O. on the cover. that game was great.lately i have been coming around to getting madden games (i hated them and never bought any).
but competition breeds innovation
madden upgrades the football game by 2% everytime they make a new one. instead of having to really create something new for the FANS of the game/games. if 2K can make something new with using the controller or a button and make the game better then madden needs to step it up.
what happened that one year where there was no madden game? they were outclassed and realized the barrel of dogshit they were going to give the customer so they halted the game and went back to the drawing board.
the same for baseball.EA had the best baseball game with MVP05 but 2k or MLB got the exclusive rights and put out dogshit games that looked terrible and played even worse! i wish they weren't allowed to do that "monopolization" of the sports games.

They even tried to get exclusive rights for the NBA and the NHL but failed because those two leagues refused the offer ( Thank god ) . In the last few years the NHL series by EA has been the best in my view and I'm pretty sure it's mainly because they are being pushed by the NHL2k series and they feel the need to be better each year . I'm sure if EA had the exclusive rights to the NHL , they would stop trying to make the games better .

i printed it out.....or....wasted ink as you say...
only problem. i bought the special edition one that doesn't need the new cover!

ironically I did too but it came out too small

i took my printer off of "printer margins" and just made it "none" and it printed perfect i would just need to cut a fingernail size strip off the top and bottom for it to fit in a DVD/Game case.
the smaller printout i could use on the inside where the manual is.

I sometimes wonder what EA is thinking with the Madden franchise. I know it's hard to make marked improvements every year, but Madden seems to always have the same bugs every year. And while NCAA isn't perfect, it's definately been better than Madden in recent years. :dunno:

IM rocking NCAA right now i love the campus legend mode.i don't even play regular games anymore i just play the single player modes.

Ncaa-Campus legend-play the HS state championships and see what teams come to recruit you and offer you to come to their school.i was offer the qb spot on just about all top 25 teams. some 4th string some starter but i chose my team...NOTRE DAME. after 2 practices i was the starter and i currently am 5-3 in my campus legend season.

NFL-be a superstar- create a player-get drafted and try to become a hall of fame player.my rookie year as a WR for chicago (on madden08 onPS2) i was rookie of the year,mvp,offensive player of the year and lost in the super bowl!

NHL-same type of superstar mode-you create a player start in the ahl and try to make it to the NHL. i can't wait since i play ice hockey for real!

MLB09-road to the show-create a player get invited to spring training and see if you can make the BIG team. you have certain situations that arise during a game and depending on if you succeed or fail you get points to go to training and improve your skill levels to get better.

I haven't bought a Madden or any other football game since Madden '02.I didn't like '03 because it seemed like they beefed up the defense a little too much for my taste.I did really like '04 though.I think it was the first on that had the fantasy draft and owner mode were you set every detail like ticket,parking,and concession prices.I thought that was pretty cool and I actually liked doing that stuff more than actually playing the games.
