Linkin Park: Cool Band or Overrated Bull

too many people got into them and made them suck after meteora came out
everyone and thier mother's and father's knew who this band was very sad.
i do still think that chester has a great voice but he is not useing it right. given up is the kind of vocal style i would like to see him use all the time.
his voice is deffently bulit for it but i don't think the rest of the band will
let him do it.im also starting to notice every album each song is under 2 min.

I say 'crap'. The biggest problems for me are the whining style and the absolutely unflinching repetitiveness of their material. "Quiet start, rock kicks in, back to quiet with whiny lyrics, lame rap kicks in, loud chorus, repeat"

So true Hedonis. I wouldn't even go as far as to say they have individual songs. Their whole existence is just an endless loop of 1st month guitar lesson riffs interspersed with some angst ridden whiner screaming his head off at me.

Very overrated and overused. And overplayed. Ive tried to listen to some of their stuff, but i either get annoyed or find most of their songs the same. Im not saying they completely suck cuz they apparently have fans, but they're definitely not my cup of tea. Well.........they kinda suck.

"Somewhere I belong" is a good melody. For me, the melody of any tune is what first catches me. I could listen to instrumentals all day if it was fire. :flame:

I have to agree with you there. Kind of a departure from their regular style (if it can even be said that they have a regular style) produces a great song. Overplayed on the radio around here, and I still love it.
