I've actually been thinking about this question for a while. Obviously the responses to this type of question are completely consigned to the realm of individual taste and opinion, i.e., some prefer blondes while others get it done by brunettes; some think that big tits are a prerequisite for beauty while others, not so much. Etc., etc. With this obvious statement being said, I offer the following.
I have been a close observer and user of porn for almost fifty years. As such, from the Linda Shaw, Seka,
Lisa DeLeeuw, Marilyn Chambers, Annette Haven generation of the 1970s, to the Christy Canyon, Ginger Lynn and Traci Lords 1980s and onward to the present era, I've had my favorites and seen the industry grow and change tremendously. But the babes remain the constant.
I too saw the skinny, self-couscous eighteen year old Lexi enter the business in 2006 but did not take too much notice at first. But I also saw a performer who jumped right in, began to crank out the scenes and, most importantly, clearly loved to fuck. So, as Katkafan said above, she began to grow on me. After she lost the punk haircuts and it became clear that she was going to hang around for a real stint, I began to pay much closer attention to her career and found myself really liking what I was seeing. My "ideal" female look is much more to the circa 1985 Christy Canyon and Lexi is nowhere near that form - but I came to believe, and still do - that she is very attractive and just oozes sexuality.
So, to finally put my two cents into the discussion, over the last couple of years I have come to the position that not only is she a Hall of Famer, I believe she is, without question, the greatest of her era. In fact, I have come to the point where I think she is, quite seriously, the best ever.
I say this based on her longevity (especially in an era where the average newbie lasts less than six months), her tremendous productivity (nearly 600 titles) and promiscuity (she has fucked literally hundreds of both men and women on camera), her aggressive enthusiasm for sex and amazing multi-orgasmic capability, the fact that by the time she announced last year that she was ceasing to do B/G work she had already done essentially everything that could be done sexually, her engaging personality and the fact that she has grown into a very beautiful woman.
