I wonder if this is gonna stick. It did with Cawthorne but I think it did because he had accused some of his fellow Republicans of inviting him to sex parties and because of that, GOP's establishment had some interest into making him irrelevant.

But that is not the case with Boebert, she's pretty well with the GOP's establishment So I'm pretty sure that, when asked about this, GOP members will deny it, call it fake news, blame the liberal medias and probably event tell the medias are targetting her just like they targeted Cawthorne, even though they did nothing to defend him against the accusations.

I have to admit that for a while I though the South west of Colorado was beginning to(to quote Ebenezer Scrooge) not having taken leave of their senses but come to them. Thankfully, like parts of Georgia, nothing much ever changes.

She is referencing Jefferson’s usage of the phrase in a letter. The Bill of Rights restricts Congress from establishing a religion. It does not prevent the church from influencing the state.

Can't help but wonder if that stinkin letter was like all those stinkin letters that the priests read to us in church from St Paul and others to the populace. Just wonderjn

Kinda. TJ wrote the letter to a Baptist Association in 1802. Very similar to Paul’s epistles to early churches.

The problem with a stat religion that Ms. Boeberg is proposing is which one. In a nation with hundreds of religions, gets to be boss? The loudest, the most violent. the dumbest? There are a lot of religious people who will do anything to guaranty their place in heaven. And plenty of "Pastors" willing to direct them for money and power.

A wonton killing is when the waiter in the Chinese restaurant doesn't give you your wontons on time. It's called justifiable homicide.
