I'm rooting for the Celtics, I expect the series to go 6 or 7. Garnett needs to keep his high level of play up or they have no shot against a focused Kobe who wants to prove he can win without Shaq.
I am going with Lakers in 6 or 7, rooting for seven because more basketball for me is always a good thing. Like said above lakers bench is good, pretty much the best bench in the NBA right now. Paul perice came out after that lil injury thing of his and was on fire, combined with excellent defense of the Celtics in the second half. The series goes 2-3-2 and Celtics are not to hot on the road so if they lose this second game I don't think it will go further then a game 5, but time will tell.
I am a huge lakers fan and I want to see the lakers win the championship; which will mean Kobe will be the first person since MJ to win MVP followed by a championship! Honestly though I don't care who wins, I like and respect both teams. I am just glad to see Spurs not make it, I think they robbed Suns last year when the suns player got ejected and the Spurs player did not.

I still have hope for my Lakers, but im still in shock how they blow a 24pt lead (at one point) and how crappy they played in the second half.
But I guess its hard to a beat a stacked team with 3 potential hall of famers and they still need a bench player to score 18 for them.
That may be the stupidest comment I have ever read. After you put down your Laker Tissues, maybe you can explain it after you tell me that the Kareem, Magic, and Worthy Lakers never needed a bench player to score 18. I'm sure Cooper or Scott or any other Laker NEVER scored 18 to help the Lakers win....:thefinger

It'd be nice to see either Phil or Kobe actually take the blame for a loss once in a while. Bryant ******* the issue despite being 1) not sharp and 2) consistently double and triple teamed was a huge reason the Lakers ended up out of synch in the second half. Without naming names Derek Fisher obliquely referenced that after the game.

Im a big big Kobe fan but after his performance this Finals (especially game 4) I dont think anyone will compare him to MJ for a while.
