Keith Richards "Special Powder"

He deserved his own thread, not the be shared with 50 or so other stories. "The guy is a freakin' legend!!!"

Maybe in your opinion (which is just as valid as any other) ... but as she said, it's already been posted by someone else. There's no need to create a thread specifically for something like this. It's redundant and most likely will eventually be merged with the other thread in which the same article appears.

He may be a legend, true enough, but it's just one more sad example of how far gone he is. I doubt there's a single legitimate "alive" cell in his brain ... they've probably all been pickled by the booze and drugs. :hatsoff:

Fucking Keith, eh? :1orglaugh

Although, a similiar situation will probably be happening once he dies. To quote Mr. Leary:

I was reading an interview with Keith Richards in a magazine and in the interview Keith Richards intimated that kids should not do drugs. Keith Richards! Says that kids should not do drugs! Keith, we can't do any more drugs because you already fucking did them all, alright! There's none left! We have to wait 'till you die and smoke your ashes! Jesus Christ! Talk about the pot and the fuckin' kettle.

Like it's been stated many times before...

Keith Richards is a fucking clown !!
Always was, always will be !!

The Rolling Stones weren't even one of the better bands of the era. The Velvet Underground, The Zombies, Vanilla Fudge, Moby Grape, The American Metaphysical Circus, and not to mention The Beatles were all much better.

I don't think you will get many people to agree with your opion on that. Look at Rolling Stone Magizine's top 500 rock n roll records and you will see the Stones have more on that list then anybody you site. BTW, who the hell is The American Metaphysical Circus?

The American Metaphysical Circus was a psychedlic band in the '60s. I don't have any faith in what Rolling Stone Magazine says, because they're ridiculously out of touch these days. And they can't stop shoving their political agenda down everyone's throat. If I wanted to read about politics, I'd read The Nation or another reputable publication dedicated to politics. When I want to read about music, I want to read about music, not politics.

I could list countless bands from the 60's that exceeded The Stones periodically but I was rather surprised when the compact disc emerged in the 80's that stereo mixes were dominant as opposed to the far superior mono versions!

No wonder bootlegs are still so popular. The music industry today is always the bottom line of endless Best Of & Greatest Hits packages recycled over & over with variations. I just noticed that the Russian mini-replica items are quite impressive.

Genius!

I don't understand why so many people comdemn him.. really what has he done that's so bad? he never hurt anyone except for himself and he's brought joy and entertainment to millions. why don't you get off your high horse, because from where I'm standing I don't see too many people here that can really say that they are so much better or at least that thier lives were more well-lived. the guy does crazy shit all the time, and maybe he's not the best role model, but I'd call him a hero, I wish that my life was even a quarter as interesting and exciting and I had the balls to cheat death like mr. richards. long live!

"I was No. 1 on the `who's likely to die' list for 10 years. I mean, I was really disappointed when I fell off the list," Richards said.

that was my favourite quote in the story. He's an entertainer, even off stage.
