How is Keith Richards still alive?

The Rolling Stone's autobiography reveals a lifetime of substance *****. Why on earth hasn't it ****** him?

His name is synonymous with rock 'n' roll excess, his memoirs detail a lifetime spent ingesting a Herculean quantity of ******* ***** and he only gave up *******, aged 62, after he split his head open falling from a tree while foraging for coconuts.

At 66, Keith Richards' continued survival is a source of widespread bafflement.

According to addiction expert Dr Robert Lefever, director of the Promis recovery centre in Richards' native Kent, there is only one possible explanation for his longevity: "He must have the constitution of an ox."

I doubt he has the "constitution of an ox."

They either lied about how many ***** he took, or he made a deal with satan.

A. Clean out your mailbox. That article was from 6 years ago.

2. Is anything about this a surprise to you? Keith Richards falls out of a tree and breaks some ribs. He'll probably do it again in another 10 years.

C. Politics section? ...okay, religion qualifies.

Because heroin is actually a preservative.

How fucking awesome is it that the article is over 7 years old.

Exactly.

Thank you. ;)

Have you seen Artie Lange lately?

As The Keith Richards is clearly a Rock God, he should be studied regarding his ability to NOT drop out at the age of 27 or some other unnecessary time.

I don't know if he does any physical training or yoga or whatever, it's just that other musicians who were on vidious *****, like Joe Perry, Steven Tyler, James Taylor, ..., they changed their way like Sir Mick Jagger did, started rigorous training and eating and living healthy. I have the suspicion Richards lives sort of different than them :)

I had the fantastic opportunity to witness Neil Young and Crazy ***** at the Roskilde Festival in 1996. The epic way he not just played the songs, but rather worked them, in an intensity I rarely witnessed, was one of those concerts you NEVER forget.

Thank you for that input, Rey

Saw Neil Young with Crazy ***** in 2015 - touring the Psychedelic Pill album - and it was great. A couple of tunes from the album descend into about 10 minutes of pure feedback. Some of the crowd weren't so happy - you know the 'pullover draped over the shoulders' brigade and started slow hand clapping. Dicks turned up expecting a greatest hits tour. The brass neck of them was so sad it was funny:)

Back to Keef Richards and his ilk - I saw Shane Magowan of Pogues fame in the paper at his ******* funeral. Man, how is he still alive?? Fella is in a wheel chair now. Sad sight.

Never had the pleasure to see Neil Young...but the version I would have preferred was long before I was of concert going age. That would be around the time of the "Live At Massey Hall" show. The younger, solo acoustic shows.

He was great around that time but I think he's stood the test of time well. A few ropey albums but that's expected when he's so prolific in his output. The Live Rust era was him sounding his best imo. Powerful stuff. Powderfinger - what a great song - one of my favourites.
