If I remember right he is joining the Air *****. The only worse he will endure is the training. Easy money, education, and job experience.

It's a great catapult into life, I think. Does wonders.
Air ***** is a good place to go if you want a foot in the door. Navy, too, for some folks. I know someone who is joining the Navy and going to get into some really nice schooling.
It's not the gloom and doom some people like to make it out to be.

That was going to be my question. I thought that was like a month ago. How long does it take before one reports for basic training and starts getting a check?
It depends. Some folks can join up within a couple months or so or it might take anywhere from 6-9 months to be shipped out.
Though he did post this topic and have yet to respond to anything, be it legit or not. He was on for a while after posting this. So, hmmm...

I'm joining the Air *****, but everyone wants in for the Air *****. No one wants to really join the marines or army when there is a war. They are hard up for troops currently, but the Air ***** is full.
I have to try to stay out of debt or else I can't join the Air *****. I think I can get it waivered, but seriously don't want to do that since that's 2-3 more months and I may not be able to go.
I am in DEP which means I'm sworn in, but since the Air ***** is so full they don't give ship dates at meps. Only branch that currently doesn't.
Also the Air ***** is better for me since I want to make 6 figure minimum after the military or while in the military. I will be on the tech side, so I'll have good opportunities for expercience and school. I also applied for some more jobs including fitness + health related jobs since I want to be a personal trainer.
I'll be fine if I plan well.
Worst case scenerio is that I wait a year and a half to go to boot camp.

Whore is such a nasty word. I prefer to be known as a rent-a-body center. You rent my body for so many hours for a charge. Kind of like RAC, Rent a Car, and other renting businesses. No different.
