Jill Stein 2016

She's the Green Party presidential candidate. All you Bernie supporters who feel betrayed, she is your answer. Vote for her and make a statement and I promise, I will too. And she's a straight up GILF. I'd post a pic but I'm on my phone. Look her up.

Every single vote for Jill Stein is a vote for Trump.

I don't know if the USA has figured out the possibilities of forming political coalitions.

A Democrat/Green government could really be a good change, if not hindered by law

You don't form a colalition with someone who's not even at 5%, particularly if you're the candidate most people think is likely to win ; it would make you look weak and you don't want to look wea, americans don't want to vote for a weak candidate.

But, every single vote for JIll Stein is a vote that Hillar won't get, so the more people vote for Jill Stein, the more favorable it will be to Trump. So, if Jill Stein don't want to have Trump for President, she must retire from the election.

you tell'em, Jill. Sanders supporters should vote their conscience. I'm with =>Jill.

Jill should form a coalition with Gary Johnson's Libertarian Party and the Rent is Too Damn High Party and do some serious damage come November.

It's time the two establishment parties sit up and take notice.

Well, while true that Hillary won't get that vote, it's not a certainty that Stein voters would have voted for Hillary in the first place. I know and have read about more than a few on the left, the right and the center who have no intention of voting for either one of the clowns that the two major parties have nominated. And I put myself in that camp. I have no intention of (only) choosing between a crook and a kook. But I've voted for 3rd parties more than a few times in the past. So it's more normal for me to consider them. But this time around, I think there are more people who will consider, and maybe support, alternative candidates.

I'd be curious to see polls that compare the support that the alternative candidates have at this point in the election cycle, compared to similar time frames during past elections. IMO, the two majors have the worst candidates that have run (at the same time) in my lifetime.

The Democrats already work with the two independent Senators. Until the Green or other parties get enough votes in one area for a Congressman let alone Senator there in nothing to coalate. We would have to change the Constitution for real viable 3rd & 4th political parties.

Thanks for clearing that up for me

You can't find a candidate that is more liberal than Jill Stein and the Greens. Fox, you are an unabashed and self-confessed liberal-hater (not judging, just sayin' you have made those type of general statements). How, then, can you possibly support Jill Stein? Just the ultimate protest vote regardless of political stance? I'd be interested to know.

Still trying to make up my mind. Bummed out.

You got me. This was probably my unsuccessful attempt to sway a single disenchanted Bernie supporter to do the right thing and go Green and I added a bit of camaraderie by "I'll do it too!"

I'm voting for Trump. He wasn't my first choice, or second, or third but he's several rungs above Madame Secretary as far as I'm concerned. And if helping his chances takes a bit of subterfuge on my part on a porn/political sub forum then the end justifies the means. Like with most things I post here, it's tongue-in-cheek in a good-natured whimsical way (for the most part).

And you rightly called me out on that "I hate white liberals" rant in another thread which I acknowledged privately but do so here, now. I strongly disagree with the left's ideology for the most part and may hate particular stances they take but that doesn't extend to individual liberals (well, there's bound to be exceptions of course). Like I said, given where I live and work and relationships I have, I wouldn't be able to go about my day if I hated liberals. You're definitely a credit to liberals in how you present yourself here.

Enough of this kumbaya stuff, let's get back to the personal insults.

Trump has been trying to play this tune and coming off like a banjo player using a 2x4 for a pick.

In this election more than any other, I respect those who (at least at this point) plan to vote for a 3rd Party. But it's still a wasted vote. And a 3rd Party vote has never sent any message to the establishment. And it won't with either Bonespur or Hilldawg. The salient point to why most hate both is because the only message one will receive on Election Night will be, "Holy shit, I actually won? Suckers."

But even the diehards who are swearing that they won't vote for either, I think that will change when they're confronted by their own voting booth. And then they'll say, "Hell yeah, 3rd Party" to the exit pollsters. :D

I figured as much. Tell you what....since you live in a blue state that ain't at all likely to go to Trump and I live in a red state that ain't at all likely to go to Hillary, I'll vote for her and you vote for Trump and both our votes will cancel each other out. Deal? ;)

This is, in a nutshell, my personal dilemma. Maybe my conscience feels better to vote 3rd party but the effect is, in essence, a vote that would normally go to the more liberal nominee being relegated to insignificance and, consequently, a vote for Trump. Just not sure at this point which way I will eventually decide. I want to see how each candidate conducts themselves over the next few months.
