Is this not the perfect "leg"acy for Dubya?

LOL....pretty nimble for a 62 year-old! I guess all those bike rides finally came in handy.

The poor journalist was almosts beaten to death right in front of all the camera but no one reported that. A large trail of blood was found and the journalist was hit very hard in the head by the Iraqi security.

He was actually kidnapped by the militants months earlier and released. So he is no rebel but someone really cares about his country--Iraq !

CNN keeps showing it! Finally someone told him the truth to his face.

No one has the gut to tell Dubya the truth same as in a company.

Would you go up to a section manager in your company that he is wrong.

And he committed fraud and cheating, lying and setting up employees and more...

NO, no one dares to speak up in a company when the Manager screws up the job. The Manager always blamed others !

That duck was lame

Here is IMO an even better "legacy" for GWB.

That Iraqi journalist didn't really appear to trying too hard to hit Bush or he would have anticipated the duck move and thrown lower.Probably figured it would mean a death sentence if he actually hit him.Bush really has a lot of nerve going to Iraq.He will be remembered by them with far less less regard then he will be by the people in the US and rightfully so.While he has been a disaster for us,for Iraq he has been a knightmare that has led to 100s of thousand of deaths all without the slightest justification.Jail would be going easy on him.

I do think the journalist was trying to hit him, and I just think it's hilarious. I agree with you Friday. WTF was Dubya thinking about going over there and giving a press conference:rolleyes: If he wanted to pay a visit to the troops, I'll never criticize him doing that or call it "political"..

But to hear him try to "sell" to Iraqis that "everything is okay" was really a sadsack political moment for him. It's like this was his last chance to beg people to like him.

I also saw that Laura Bush and the 2 Bush dogs (Barney and I don't know the other one) filmed the Bush Family holiday message for this season. I guess no one finds it interesting that Dubya wasn't a part of the Holiday Message?

I think with the dark clouds forming and with most people worried about their jobs this Holiday Season, the PR people figured nobody wanted to see Dubya "wishing them well" this season??

This along with the fact that Chaney has recently said that he thinks the Guantanamo prison should stay open and that that he ok'ed waterboarding and doesn't see anything wrong with it is pretty much the perfect way to sum up just how pathetic this administration has been. My God I have lost count at all the screwups and unethical/illegal things Bush has done, and that's just the stuff we know about. Even the major stuff is too numerous to recall off the top of my head anymore. Bush is probably in the top 2 or 3 worst presidents of all time and thinking about it from a unbiased view people have a very legitimate case in calling him the worse president we ever had. The sad part is that even if he really didn't think so before, and he always thought time would vindicate him somehow, I think now at the end, deep down inside, he knows the truth even if he will never admit it, maybe not even too himself.

Actually, I do it about once a week. But then, I am a shift supervisor myself.:thefinger

Did you see his interview with Martha Radatz after this incident? This guy is in such denial about his presidency....

http://www.videosift.com/video/Bush-Interview-ABC-News-Shoe-insult-Iraq-Al-Qaeda

Bush's response to Radatz when she reminded the president that Al-Qaeda had not been present in Iraq until the US invaded:

"So what?"

He must be taking cues from Dick Cheney. Unbelievable.

I watched most of it.Had to stop ,couldn't take it anymore.
He will defend the indefensible to the bitter end.
George just go!:wave2:

As hilarious as it was, it was also somewhat sad in a lot of ways. Is there any hope left when the most powerful man on Earth, the leader of the free world, is made to duck under a podium to prevent being hit by a shoe?

A sad end to a sad presidency.

The really retarded part of this is that the muzzie guy that threw the shoes and called Dubya a dog used insults that are not insults in the western world.

Shoes, and the bottom of one's foot, are considered especially dirty and distasteful in islam. Because of that, muzzies remove their shoes and ritually wash their feet before entering the sanctuary in a mosque. Muzzies also avoid pointing their feet or showing their soles to others, especially elders.

We don't share that view. The same as the dog comment. We call them man's best friend and they are our loyal companions.

So this muzzie guy doesn't even get the satisfaction of his target being insulted.

Who know how long those shoes were worn before they were thrown at Dubya. (& I don't even want to think about the temeratures in Iraq, yuck... :D).

IMO that single action sums up what is thought of Bush all around the world. He is not a diplomat and has no diplomatic tact whatsoever. He pretty much tells other nations that aren't friendly to the US what he expects them to do. I'm sorry but that is not the way to get nations on your side. There has to be a level of respect and tolerance in dealing with foreign powers. The war on terror in general I support because who wants to leave America vulnerable to another attack, however the whole operation has been a blunder from the beginning. To use 9-11 as a justification to invade Iraq is just in bad taste. While it is true that by invading Iraq there is another ruthless dictator that got what he deserved, however the war was not in Iraq but should have been concentrated in Afghanistan to find the real perpetrators of the September 11 attacks.
