Japanese toilets don't just have fancy electronics - they also have 2 types of flushes - #1 and #2, with #1 using much less water. They also have a mini sink at the top to wash your hand which runs the water before going into the tank - saving even more water.

At first I wasn't going to post this. But - renewal energy costs (significantly) more than fossil-fueled energy does. So .. this (stored) energy will likely only be used as a last-resort, during peak-demand.
