Ignorance or Apathy?

No one 'hates' these balloon heads. People hate the fact that these imbeciles are propped up and it's sad they're taken with a modicum of seriousness.

I don't hate either of them, though I do disrespect them both, and find some of their actions contemptuous.

Facetious, ever compelled by Neo-McCarthy zeal/paranoia, has been trying to brand me (a pro 2nd amendment pro death penalty democrat) a communist :1orglaugh :1orglaugh since his very first post to me years ago. A post in which he suggested the California wildfires were purposely set by illegal aliens (see: La Raza) in an attempt to drive out the whities and take back "their" land. That was an instant tipoff as to how sound of reason he is

At this stage I see that the combo choice appears to be the predominant one and I agree. It's like the old psychological argument about environment vs. heredity. The two are inextricably linked. Same with ignorance and apathy. Ignorance feeds off of apathy because an apathetic populace is easily led. Those who blindly follow give tacit approval to what is happening around them by those who are in control (ignorant or not) thereby implying endorsement rather than portraying apathy.

The events that led to Hitler's rise to power represent a perfect example. The Nazis were largely able to seize control based on a small but very fervent group of followers but would never have been able to take over the nation without the ambivalent complicity of a large percentage of average German citizens who simply sat back and allowed it to happen.

I am disturbed that the "Fuck you Jagger" choice outpolled "I don't know and I don't care". Well, at least those who voted that way aren't apathetic!
