Professor Predicts Human Time Travel This Century

I think a professor from Tulane also contrived a way to create a time machine (Frank Tipler maybe?).
However, I think it's logical to say that time travel for humans is impossible - or, sadly, that the human race is wiped out prior to its practical application.
The philosophical proof is evidenced by the fact that we aren't presently seeing people from the future.
Sure. You might say that advanced human civilization curtails time travel in some way (time travel cops?), but, at some point, civilization would be so advanced that time travel is as complicated as driving the car to the store.
So, since we're not seeing irresponsible teenagers visiting from the year 3098, the human race has ended or it's not possible!
By the way, for an interesting look into the future, try Arthur C Clarke's book,
3001.
