I believed in Santa for a time when I was around 6 (even though I was Jewish). I thought that if I put out cookies for him on Christmas, he'd stop at my house and leave me something just for my thoughtfulness.

Since he never stopped over, it's proven he's not real.

Because when I was born, my dad wasn't religious. My dad got "saved" when I was around ten, and cleaned up from his drug and alcohol addictions...so I got stuck with the unfortunate combination of my dads brain being effed up from his prior drug use mixed with his fanatical faith...resulted in him being a hypocritical, delusional bible thumper.

Interesting. So sad to hear about your father's drug use. I AM a person offaith though, and I do believe in heaven & hell and being a kind Christtian that is good to thers. Chould have swore in your thread that I read you were to to a degress. But very interesting about your father. I'm most certianly glad that Faith like mine helped him clean-up form his addictions.

So you say Glenn Beck is your dad???

Sorry, that just popped up in my brain :)

I was around 7 when in school, some bully from two classes older said there was no Santa. And obviously enjoyed our shocked faces.

My parents really did not do such a good job at convincing me that the guy was wrong :dunno:

I'm blown away that some of you were as old as ELEVEN! Not because you managed to go that long without someone blowing it for you, but because you were dumb enough to still believe.

When something is as good, and as magical as Santa, you choose to keep believing it because the alternative is just depressing.

Like the guys who believe that every woman in porn gets off...they refuse to believe otherwise because watching their faces and listening to their screaming is just so good that they'd be crushed to know that it was all fake.

Yes, its somewhat delusional, but sometimes life is just better when you have something that awsome to believe in. I still wish Santa was real.... :(

Yeah, I'm very happy that my dads faith turned his life around when it comes to his drug use...he was on a fast track to death (and actually when he quit cold turkey, he almost DID die from the detox) ...but unfortunately, his faith only healed his habits, and not his actual shitty personality. With the rest of his life, he used his faith and his bible to hide behind and use as an excuse for the rest of his sinning. Because "Jesus forgives", he felt he had a free pass to do whatever he wanted because he knew he'd still get into heaven as long as he repented. So he justified cheating on my mom with a member of our church with his faith, he justified throwing me out on the street when I was 17 because he felt I was a tool of the devil for wanting to attend a friends birthday party (lol...seriously, that was his reasoning)...so he's still the same fucked up, half brained person, just with a new lease on life I guess. He and the rest of the people like that can keep their faith, I'll live my life genuinely trying to be a good person.

But since you are an admitted person of faith...can I ask why you are here? I mean if you share the same Christian-based belief system that my family does, then technically, enjoying adult material and supporting an industry such as this is deemed wrong, according to the bible. So either you're here because you feel porn is ok anyways, or you're here to try to save us porn gals and their viewers lol.

I was like 7 when I found out. My older brother got a wrist watch from "Santa" that I had seen my parents buy for him beforehand, but I still pretended to believe til I was like 10 so that I could get a ps1. I don't understand why people would be mad when they find out Santa isnt real, its a story your parents make up to get you excited for a few months and give you something you really like...it's awesome.

The truth about Santa? What happened to him? I justed watched the news, but I must have missed it. He's not kidnapped, is he? Tell me... what's with Santa?
