I used to be a "Roughneck" in the past - both as an infantryman in the US Army (my recon unit earned that title from the battalion commander after a particularly violent fire-fight) and working an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico.
Both jobs require endless hours of constant, back breaking, hard labor - a trait that has consistently been "the story of my life".
In short - I've always been a "roughneck".
