I think I'm one of the few Americans who actually remembers (or even knows) that there is more than 2 presidential candidates. I voted for Nader.

I was all set to vote for Bob Barr. But then Sarah Palin opened her mouth and began speaking (who knew she could even talk? :dunno:). With her being the #2 under a man in his 70's, who had already had multiple bouts with cancer, I voted for Obama. I would have voted for anyone as long as it kept that looney tune kook out of the White House.

As for 3rd parties, except for my Bush FUBAR in 2000, I've been voting for alternate party candidates since 1992. If Ross had gotten in office, I really think things would be different now (maybe better, maybe worse... but certainly different). Imagine a smart little man, with a bad temper, and so much money that he couldn't be bribed, occupying the White House. Be afraid. Be very afraid! The two major parties were right to be scared of him, and so they rigged the system (debates) so that his chances in 1996 would be severely limited.

Obama might not be the right answer. All I knew was, Palin anywhere near 1600 Pennsylvania Ave was the wrong answer.

voted for the old man. though i never supported him bringing palin on

McCain...he was the lesser of the evils running in that election.

Your mistaken about me so stop second guessing and making an ass out of yourself.
Ass out of myself ? Sir, I have never once been banned in any forum whatsoever.
I find it funny how genuine Republicans don't mind when I refer to generic Republicans as NeoCons, but it's the NeoCons who lose their marbles when I use that term to set them apart from real Conservatives
I was pullin for Paul but it didn't quite work out... am I a neo com ?
What is a "genuine republican" ? What is a neo con ?

Both leading parties are two different heads connected to the same body becoz both have a history of greed, corruption and selling out to the selfish corporate masters
agreed
the fact is the NeoCon dominated GOP has done the worst damage
worst damage how ? fiscally, legislatively..what ? :dunno:

ok time to make a notification, labelling people as Neocons is not going to solve the actual problem, I hope this is clear. I think that heart of the problem are the decisions taken by the representatives that were elected by the people which are not always deserving the country interests at their best. A political program says one thing in a presidential campaign but in the reality when applicated, it is totally different. To Hellraiser, tone down. It is not because another member has a different opinion than yours that you need to get on your high horses and to be rude. I trust this is clear.

I will say I definitely did not vote for Adam Lambert. I hope this year will be better choices!

Wait. American President... not American Idol. Oops. :o

I voted for Ralph Nader as well. :glugglug:

For the Democratic Party, I wanted Dennis Kucinich to run as POTUS and for the Republican Party I was pulling for Ron Paul to run as POTUS as well.

Dennis Kucinich is the only real, actual Liberal in the Democratic Party. I wish he would run for Senate and help give the Senate a goddamn backbone....

Ron Paul is just another Republican earmark lover.

I voted for the tree in my front yard. It's tall and stands strong behind my house. Why not a whole country.

voted for the old man.

which one? :glugglug:

oh Obama, you had to go and ruin everything with the illusion of choice. Remember simpler times when we could toss a coin and vote for the rich old white man?

well at least in our lifetime we will never get such a chaotic political race as to have to choose outside of the rich and old.

In 2012, I might just get liquored up on election day, stagger in that booth and actually vote for the (true) "no brainer": Sarah! Sarah! Sarah! :nanner:
