it has a campaign, about a unified korea invading the US during a time of economic collapse and post peak oil prices. you join as the resistance, not unlike red dawn from what i can gather.

I'm gonna get the game. It's made by Kaos Studios, the same company who made the underrated Frontlines: Fuel of War.
Yeah,single player was really short.I took my time with it too and I still beat it in under 6 hours.
The ending was very anticlimactic,the game play just seemed to be lacking a little,and don't even get me started on the MP.
In all,I think this game sucks hard.While I'm not that much of a fan of the Crysis 2 MP,the SP was really good,and put Homefront to shame in all respects.
Homefront's MP,is nothing more than a mash-up of about 4 different FPS,but it doesn't take anything good from what it's stealing from.
MAG is still the best FPS out there,even if the game is down to running on only two servers,but hopefully Brink can bring something new and fresh to the table because to be honest,I'm getting sick of all of these shooters.
i dont do MP,never really had the urge to,especially since i would prob get diced up by some 12 yr old in iowa who plays the game 24/7
i think im gonna trade this in,for-go on the DLC and get Medal of Honor ?? my ****** said its awesome? i have no idea what to do. :dunno:
I haven't heard anything good about MOH,to be honest.I heard that the SP is not very well put together,with the AI being pretty shitty,along with some other issues.
If you want to play a pretty good SP FPS,check out Crysis 2,if you haven't already.If for nothing else,the length is worth it alone.It's about a 10 hour play through if you aren't trying to do a speed run,plus,the graphics are pretty sick.
I would have to say that it was worth the $60 just for the SP.
The single player was 2 hours for me. Which is pathetic.
The multiplayer is unstable- the games freeze after about 40-min-1 hr of gameplay. I was hopeful for this game, but there are just to many things that are broken for me to enjoy it
Sorry,which game were you talking about exactly? If you say that you beat Crysis 2 single player in 2 hours,then it had to be a super speed run of unprecedented levels,because from what I've personally experienced,and what I've heard anyone else say,it's a 8-10 hour game,7 hours at it's quickest.

COD? Seriously? Try MAG and tell me how good COD is.Even with all of it's flaws,MAG is still probably the best fps around.
I've tried and tried to play something that's better.Killzone 2 and 3,Homefront,Crysis 2,Bulletstorm,Modern Warfare 2,and a few others,but every single time,I keep coming back to MAG.Why? Because it truly is better than everything else.
So to say that anything else fails compared to COD,is a very ignorant statement I think,and shows that you are obviously locked in to just one game and probably think that everything else is just a clone.
It's a tired game series,and I **** the fact that everyone compares every other FPS to it.I hope Brink really brings more innovation to the whole genre,because lord knows that it does need a shot in the arm

Well from what you heard is totally 100% fucking wrong,and shows what you "think" you know,but MAG is MP only.
For anyone to say that MAG is anything like COD is a totally and completely ignorant statement and they pretty much have no clue what they are talking about.
Sorry,not trying to make this a personal ******,but you really need to get out of the COD cave.You are just too used to playing COD that you don't even recognize any other good shooters anymore.

agreed. I LOVE M.A.G. I'm 4th vet lv 62 I believe. What game type/s you play? I only play acquisition and domination. Though suppression is great for flexing my .50 cal from time to time!

Seriously though,I would love to play more domination,but there are too many noobs on currently and they just don't know how to follow orders.
I really like escalation as well,although I guess there are a lot of people that aren't too fond of it.
TBH,the only game mode that I don't like is interdiction,which I think is pure trash as a mode,but has some really awesome maps.
So tell me,am I wrong on the non-comparison between COD and MAG,from another person's perspective that has actually played MAG?
Just to get back to actually talking about Homefront.They actually tried to make this game a bit like MAG with the squad based objectives,but I just don't think it works very well,plus the graphics are distractingly bad.
