Help me please

I think I just screwed up my laptop.
My CPU is processing very fast, most of the time at 100%(I am looking at my windows vista gadgets for this information). This is causing problems as my computer is stuttering constantly. I used to be able to have a media player going as well as a couple sites and sometimes an online game. There would never be any stalling or stuttering.

Then one day my anti virus protection ran out and instead of paying for a new one I decided to download a free one with a keygen. The keygen I downloaded turned out to be a virus. I then downloaded another microsoft recommended antivirus freeware called threatfire. It has found several high threat levels of viruses. Each week it finds more of them, which leads me to believe there is something that keeps creating them. The viruses it found were trojans.

What do I do, I really don't want to have to erase my harddrive.

Help me please.

You have a trojan. Try getting a program called spyware terminator from download[dot]com and run it. It should delete it. Then you should do a restore point if you have that app on your PC.

Worse case scenario, you'll have to reinstall your OS.

good luck amigo.

are you talking to me?
you shouldn't use cracked files at all in your computer.
Now go and PAY an official antivirus program and...hope that this can clean your pc.

otherwise a format would be the BEST solution for it.

Format is something I really would like to avoid, I'll try the spyware terminator and restore point is definetely a very good idea.

I tried the spyware terminator and it got rid of a few more trojans, but I somehow doubt it got rid of the original source of them. It has a setting called real time protection and after turning it on my cpu usage went back up to 100%. oh and it marked this site as a possible threat, lol

but seriously what else is there to do besides format

Oh for fuck's sake reformat already and save everybody the trouble of reading about another idiot computer-noob that doesnt know how to browse the internet properly. And dont ask people how to break the law, you have to learn in your own time, if at all!

::whispers to self:: Geez they're not getting any more intelligent these days..

You sound like me last week going through hell trying to get my laptop virus free.
Kaspersky worked for me and free trial is available.

Go to www.malwarebytes.org and get their Anti-Malware program and run it a few times. Although sometimes these trojans wont let you go to a anti spyware site in which case you got to blow up your computer.

Whatever you do, don't use Best Buy's Geek Squad support. I took them my computer last year because my roommates decided to play a prank on me and downloaded a bunch of porn on it when I first bought it, before I had even had a chance to install any kind of anti virus, and they fucked it up. I took it to Best Buy, who said that they would have it ready in a week. After a month I had to get rude and demand my computer back because they still didn't know what the status of it was. When I started using my computer again, I found that not only did they remove the McAfee virus scan that I paid money for, but they replaced it with a cheap anti virus that they sell themselves. It has done absolutely nothing to prevent viruses from attacking my computer. Also, they fucked with something that keeps the machine from remembering user names and passwords that I want it to remember, such as my e-mail or Freeones. As a result, I have to log back in every time I open my browser, even if I click the "Remember Me" option. Even my IT roommate can't fix that. Also, since Best Buy returned it, my computer runs slower than molasses. I have a gig of RAM, but my computer will slow down majorly if I have 3 windows of Firefox open.

Moral of the story: STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM GEEK SQUAD.

Thats not a prank, thats just messed up! And self-pwned on you for going to geek squad. Hell I don't even like shopping at Best Buy.

start your computer in safe mode and do a virus scan and then let me know whats going on

Nice.... a few years back (many few) when autoexec.bat and config.sys were big... I wrote a little batch file that counted down and then reported system was infected and the hard drive would be wiped in 3....2...1. It was only a simple .bat file that didn't do anything except count, but man did I catch heat. The boss was NOT impressed....
