Help, I can't stop thinking negative?

Exercise & eat healthy :) Plenty of sleep & drink in moderation, like a beer or two but no more than a sixer. Will change how you feel, also change what you watch or listen to if it is bad, get a puppy or a kitty, or a whore & snort Zoloft :D

I am positive that I can be more negative than you.

Just let shit go. You are born at point A, you die at point B. What happens in between is completely up to you. Find whatever puts a smile on your face and take the wheel.

Look into meditating. Do some research on it and find the one for you. You need to slow down your thoughts and refresh yourself... instead of carrying yesterdays upsets into the present. <3

Maybe you're spending too much time alone. Making some friends, getting a girlfriend or spending time with your family may help. Get involved in an activity you enjoy. It's hard to have negative thoughts when you're enjoying yourself.:yinyang:

lol family thats a joke.

You're right about spending too much time alone though, being active and busy really changes the way I think.

See a shrink. Drinking and drugs (if you take them) will only exacerbate the problems. I get down easily which is hard when the rest of your family are happy positive people, they will not understand why you can't be like them so will either get angry or just ignore it. Start hanging around with gloomier people and You Might find others in the same boat as you so the company will be better.

Ulysses is right you know: see a shrink. Once I had a major depression, memories of a fucked up youth were haunting me. My life felt like I was just watching it, emotionless... no, not emotionless, just without positive feelings or something to live for. I went to a shrink and talked and talked... for over a year. And still did some self-therapy afterwards.

Talking to a shrink is a start. It doesn't matter if people don't understand you, you will see that eventually you will start to understand yourself. And that's the key to change. More over, he/she is someone who listens and it feels good when someone is listening and is giving you feedback on no mather what you want to talk about. Give it a try.
