besides me, who else be getting them? what can you do to stop it or make it go away? I know, I know... tums... prilosec... w.e... ok.. what if you don't have none of that???

1) Canada Dry Ginger Ale. If you ***** Canada Dry Ginger Ale, you’ll relieve an upset stomach. The ginger absorbs the gastric acid and, as a result, settles a sour stomach.

2) French’s Mustard. Besides being a delicious sandwich spread, this condiment aids digestion. It can help prevent an imbalance of acids which is the origin of indigestion and heartburn.

3) Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar. Combine two teaspoons of Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar into one cup of water. Then, sip it slowly as you eat your meal. The acetic acid in the vinegar will stabilize your stomach acid and prevent heartburn.

4) Uncle Bens Converted Brand Rice. Eat Uncle Ben’s Converted Brand Rice in order to cure heartburn. The complex carbohydrates in it will absorb your stomach acid which in turn will bring you relief.

5) Wrigley’s Spearmint Gum. Chew on a stick of Wrigley’s Spearmint Gum to eliminate heartburn. Saliva is produced through the act of chewing which neutralizes stomach acid and stabilizes the flow of digestion. Also, Spearmint aids digestion of food.

I've never had heartburn before. It's probably because I am only 19.

Do you watch what you eat?

I quit ******** coffee because of chronic heartburn. That was only part of the problem though, nerves.

I found if in a pinch, chalk works too, but its pretty dry going down:2 cents:

This is actually a myth. Although carbonated beverages may seem to provide temporary relief for indigestion, they actually increase the production of acid in the stomach and should be avoided. Believe me, as someone who suffers from chronic gastritis, I know what to avoid.

* ******* (bummer!)
* Tobacco
* Acidic beverages such as coffee (both caffeinated and decaffeinated), carbonated beverages, and fruit juices with citric acid
* NSAIDS, such as aspirin and ibuprofen – switch to other pain relievers (like acetominophen)
* Avoid high fat foods (at least from ****** studies, high fat foods incresase inflammation in the stomach lining)
* Avoid acidic foods such as tomatoes, onions and citrus fruits

If you follow this advice and eat a high-fiber diet, you should see your symptoms improve in a few days.

Try to avoid excess stress in your life if possible as well. It's hell on your stomach.

Good luck....it's no fun to suffer from this.

Eat more salad and less red meat. Avoid sweets and fats. Get more fibre and more fit! Don't have too much dairy either. ***** water and not too much sugary drinks. Eat less and walk more. Pills tend to relieve the symptom not the cause.

***** milk it's good for it for me practically anything gives me heartburn used to take ************ pills for it. But the doctor told me you have to stop taking them. The worst food is usually spicy food and alchohol also some fatty foods. Fruit and acidic things as well like fruit juice or fizzy drinks as well. Dairy is actually good for it as it is made up of alkaline, as I said like milk.
Heartburn is primarily caused by too much acid in your stomach caused by the things I have mentioned.

Lots of people think milk is good for heartburn but the opposite is actually the case. In much the same way as carbonated beverages might produce temporary relief, milk actually increases acid production in the stomach:
