I've never given out negative rep. If someone posts something that I don't like I usually just ignore it.

I don't bother with neg rep. I just cut straight to the chase and ban the sucker.

Any chance you could give us that power?

Yes! I've had periods of up to 2 weeks where I don't get anything, and then in one day I'll get almost 100 points. Go figure.

I've never issued a negative rep (especially as retaliation). I think that giving people negative reps is a cowardly low blow which could be prevented with a simple PM to each other, but that's because I think and don't react.

It still doesn't mean that I will never give one to someone if they are persistent at annoyance. Plus, the moderators are there for you in case you have problems with other members. I've chatted a bit with them before and they're great for assistance.

For me, to return "the favor" only justifies the means to / for those who give them in the first place. Never will you discourage those you have deemed "in the wrong", neg rep or otherwise.

Just let it go.

I'm a strong proponent of "to each their own".
That doesn't mean that I won't challenge them from time to time . . just question.

I did 2 weeks ago in retaliation to the guy giving me negative rep. He posted something about Hyundai, and I, knowing Hyundai only as a car brand, posted that when I saw the title of the thread I thought it was about cars. Well the guy immediately neg reps me with a message that says "Clearly not." Well, no shit, Sherlock! Once I saw the posts in the thread it was obvious that the thread was about rugby, not cars! I was just honest and thought I would share my thoughts, so this guy hits me with a red rep! :wtf:

So I know that this an old thread that I'm digging up,but I feel that it is now necessary to start giving out negative rep to all of those people who post a pic set that had just been posted in a previous post.

Someone will post a new set,then someone else will post the almost exact same set,with maybe two different pics,then someone else will do the same.Hey,don't get me wrong,a repost here and there is fine,but to not have the sense to check the last three links before you post is just fucking lazy.And I would suggest that if there are a few new pics in a particular set,why not just link those few new pics instead of the whole set?:dunno:

It's obvious that these individuals are only doing it to increase there post count,but I just don't think I can stand for it anymore.

So what? It's a link. You click it, see what's there and move on. I personally like certain kinds of shots that may or may not be included in one set versus the other. Either way, posting a link with some duplicate pics is a hell of a lot better than the idiots who constantly post nonsense like "Great Post", "Awsome", etc. etc. Just my opinion.
