I don't give negative rep to people whose political opinions conflict with mine. After all, they're already wrong so why add insult to injury 
I do however sometimes give rep to people whose opinions differ but whose arguments are well constructed. Until I started typing this, I thought that was pretty decent of me but now I think about it, I'm just being a condescending ass.

I was given a negative rep recently so I gave it right back. I thought it was so rude I disagree with people on threads but that's all it is a disagreement we move on. I would never give a bed rep first I think it is rude and unnecessary.
I agree with that. I was neg repped because the person decided it was their job to enforce the board rules (which I hadn't broken) so they gave me "warning neg rep".
yeah, recently I gave out one to a member for implying that it was a woman's own fault for getting ****ed, which I found to be one of the most disgusting posts I've heard on this board. Of course I then received a retaliatory negative rep back from that person on an unrelated post of mine.
It would be a public service to let everyone know what an asshole that guy is, but I won't say who because it's board policy not to discuss private messages.
I'll just say that my post was a mention of the bible that was apparently deemed to be offensive (It wasn't. Unless you think that saying the actual content of the bible is offensive. Then you might have a point.) That might give you a clue to who it was.

I've only given neg rep to some douche nozzle who neg rep'd me because he disagreed with my tongue-in-cheek comment about cheating. (right before he sent me a message calling me a jackass).

I have... once, i prefer to give out positive rep but that one time was ages ago and i think it was because someone was just continuously being abusive to the point the thread just died.
Nope Im usually a reciever of negative rep. So many negative people out there I only give positive rep when it warrented.
