I've just had the first actual moral decision in a video game. I didnt feel anything killing Dwayne's ex. I dont feel bad hitting bystanders or gunning down the cops. But, eh..
I walked away from Darko Brevic.
And.. I still dont know if I did the right thing. But it doesnt feel wrong...

I chose revenge and I so want to see the other ending. Though the one I saw was pretty good. I actually felt a twinge of pain for a second.
i killed darko, but i saved the game way before that so i can go back and try all the different outcomes/decisions.
after that i went and started by taking the DEAL/money. then after that mission...had to do it like 7 times kept getting killed i sat and watched the whole ending credits ...like 15 minutes worth!
gonna try the revenge choice today.
i have to play the game again and do everything opposite of what i did in my current game

thats where I'm at. I've started a new game still in the early stages though.
Gotta love games like GTA4 or MGS4. You can play them over and over, doing things differently.. and they honestly dont get boring. At least not as fast as other games where midway thru you have to man-up and just get thru all the bullshit to see the end.
As I was driving away from Darko I kept my eye on him in case I changed my mind. I just didnt rest easy.. I mean.. it's a loose end. I just finished up working for the italians and they were all over the place with the cutting loose ends. Kill this guy, kill that rat..

Now the game is over. I honestly just feel empty. Kate is gone, packie is depressed.. roman isnt even 100%. What did I even win? I never thought I'd say this but.. I've lost my taste for killing. I felt bad when I clipped a civilian in my car after that.

I didn't even finish the game, I just got bored after the last island was unlocked. The game just wasn't what I thought it would be.
What were ya expecting, another San Andreas? The series has to move on, move up. The game now actually LOOKS great. There is a nice physics system in place, the story lets you choose and branch off often..
But yeah. The game isnt finished. Not very much to do besides story missions. Hell, I ended the game with hundreds of thousands of dollars. Which.. I cant do anything with. They need to make a GTA 4.5 with a couple hundred more missions. Like buying the car dealership in Vice City, I loved owning property in a video game.
Aye, but unfinished. Or at least unpolished.

hell yeah, owning property was nice! As for the left over money, I guess you never have to worry about being out of ammo on your rampages through the city. Speaking of which, I've found it damn near impossible to run for very long with 6 stars. Nice to see them fix the very broken police system in this series! Never once did I think the cops were to easy to get away from. Hell they are even a hassle with just 1 star!
They sure the hell are. At 3 stars it becomes a major chore. Drive like a madman down the street and when noone is on the radar, hop out the car and run into an alley real quick. Then run run run... :;five minutes later:: excellent! I'm out of the huge cone of police bastards! ::waits 30 seconds::
Man.. killing cops isnt as fun this game!

Money? I just put the infinite health/ammo/armor code in my cell phone and call on it all the time. Saves a trip to the rasta's trunk. I went through 90% of the storyline without using it but towards the end I just didnt care for all the side bullshit. I wanted to see the story to completion!
And then I did, and I felt lost like Jason Biggs in American Pie 1. Alone and used on an empty bed... where do I go? Who do I turn to?!

Friggin' hell! That's FAR DOWN THE LINE! I'm half-considering trading in my copy for something else. The game doesnt have much replay value when you know the story back and forth. Killing people isnt fun with the cops on yer ass all the time. Besides.. terrorist hunt in R6:Vegas 2 is where I get my homicidal rampages these days. SHOOT THE MEATBAGS!
It has some replay value due to the alternative ending. There are clearly 2 endings. Those who've finished the game know this. I'm curious what the other ending is. I have restarted my game, but I find a serious lack of enthusiasm the second time around
i was going to do the same thing,although i haven't finished the game completely yet.(pigeons,stolen cars,etc.) but with NCAA09,madden09,im finishing up another season/playoffs on NHL08 and the new NHL09 sue in about a month,i still haven't gotten totally into Skate,i haven't even touched Mass Effect yet. i think GTA is going to collect some dust for a while.
what they needed to do on this game was A: use the theme park maybe a rolloer coster or some bumper cars go-karts that sort of thing, B: make the mini games playable in the party mode, darts, bowling and stuff and maybe even have a betting system between players, bring back the Hydra (understand why it not in this one too small) bring other stuff back like being able to use the folks on the folk lift and them car carring trucks.
GTA 4 a good game in a lot of ways it is a mass upgrade but it some stuff it is lazy and downgraded. love the game the feel of the cars and the way the road look really. hope they make another but this please fuck the online shite off and do a kick arse games intead.
