This game is pretty good so far, but damn, the missions seem so repetitive. If the cars handled better it would probably seem better, but chasing an enemy, like you do in practically every mission, is annoying as hell.

Either way, the game was definately worth it. The online portion is a blast with friends and screwing around is always fun.

I can handle the driving just depends on the car, but i do love the realism of it, scary accurate!

While this game is possibly the best I've ever played and definately deserves all the great reviews, the author of this list brings up some good points.

For example, the money is this game is pointless, as there is nothing you need to buy. Obviously food and clothing, but you don't need millions of dollars just for them alone. I wish you could buy new apartments, or mod your car, or SOMETHING to spend all that hard earned cash on...

it's got faults, i'll admit, but it's pretty close to perfection. makes me wonder what the'll come up with next in order to outdo themselves. i expect the next version, if it's still based on this engine, will have some major enhancements that they probably weren't able to fit into this version and still meet their deadline.

personally i miss the openness feeling of San Andreas though. i liked going off for a drive on the backroads, city streets get a bit boring after a while.

Looking back, I think San Andreas was maybe too big. Took way to long to get from A to B. At first it was fun, but nearer the end I was bored of it.

I'd like them to do GTA London again with this engine!

I doubt they'll ever fix it. I guess the 360 elites don't have this problem. You know the 450 dollar black box? How long did it take you to get yours back after you sent it out?

Yea the cars are a bitch to control at first. But honestly after a week or so of playing the game, I grew to love it! It adds a whole new level of realism to the game. Remember, when your chasing an enemy or running from the cops they are confined by the exact same handling physics as you! Use this to your advantage. The enemies usually slow down at some point in a chase so stay close and wait for the perfect opportunity to take them out. As for the cops they usually fly past the turns!!!

I think its nice not having to worry about running out of cash! But yea it would be nice to have something else to spend your money on.

God forbid you attempt the cover system near several objects as you never know where you'll get attached.

That really is irritating. But I'm not gonna sit here and pick apart the short comings of this game! It's still a great game regardless of what anyone says. There will never be a perfect GTA game and quite frankly I prefer it that way!

I got it back 4 days later , I was really surprised how fast it was . The only problem was that it was another console that they had repaired with a different serial number so now I have the damn digital rights problem ( I have to be logged to xbox live to have access to my downloaded content like arcade games and add-ons . ) But still , I was really impressed with the great service MS gave me .

Thats what they do. They keep your console and send you out another, previously fixed one. If they repaired your console and sent it back to you it would take a long, long time to get it back.

I just got one posted out to me from the repair centre in Germany. It should be here in the next week.

does it matter? does the refurbed ones get "fixed" and never prone to the RROD again? or is it just a temporary fix and hope you get more time out of it? if it's fixed for good i guess if it happens to me (knock on wood) i wouldn't mind a refurbed one.
but if you guys get your systems back and 7,8 10 months from now it happens again. How pissed off will you be?

So far , the refurbished unit I got back looks pretty solid . If it wasn't for the god damn digital rights problem with a new serial number I would be really happy with my "new" console . Maybe some day MS will finally find a solution.

Personally I think the best thing is to kill Playboy. You get his apartment, easily the best apartment in the game. Plus Dwayne becomes your friend, and after a certain level you are able to call Dwayne and he sends you a car full of armed gang members.

Playboy as a friend gives you nothing at all.
