Grindhouse

WOw, what a load of ****, worst case of time ****** since I watched the royal tenembaughs, or however you spell it. I knew what to expect, but come on, this was to be a tribute to early 70's film making? What a shitty way to tribute the movies of the past. Planet horror was decent, but the second part (cant remember the name) was utter tripe! (lol...got that last part from Nightfall in Guild Wars)

i like the zombie one but thought the car ones was utter shite, got bored and struggled to watch it, had to turn it off after 50 mins and watch the rest the next day, tarantino is a highly overated director if you ask me, i though reservoir dogs was shite, pulp fiction was ok but i didnt think it was as good as everyone sayd it was, jackie brown was watchable only just though and from dusk till dawn was ok when it first came out but but last time i watched it i thought it was shite and **** bill was watchable but nothing more

how do you turn it off. it just hit the movie theathers last week. you didn't bootleg a copy, did you?

The only thing I didn't like about the movie was how they got rid of the *** in the Planet ****** sequence. Handing the *** a loaded *** and his *** telling him "don't play with the *** or your blow your head off" isn't funny at all. I think they trying spoof the boy in a "Christmas Story" and the B-B ***.

Then the boy shoots the *** and ***** himself. There was a better way to get rid of the *** than this way. Take him to his grandfathers house or have the grandfather find the *** walking on the road. Anything is better than what Taratino did.....

well you dont think i pay to watch shite like that? christ i dont pay to watch any movies, why should i fund these arseholes that get over 20 million a film?
i wouldnt be going to watch them at the cinema anyway so they dont lose out on any money

Thumbs up from me. Best thing I've seen in a while. I can understand how someone who is seeing the movie with a serious mindset could come out and say, "Wow, what a load of crap!". However, if you appreciate movies such as Bruce Campbell vs the Army of Darkness and other really good-bad (as I like to call them) movies, you may appreciate Grindhouse. It's not Meet the Parents, it's not sattire. It's just hilarious.

It wasn't Tarantino, by the way.

Even though the ***-*** sequence was messy, i kinda liked it. Not all movies have to be ponced up for the uptight members of the audience.

And at the end of the day, it's still only a movie. The *** is fine, he didn't shoot himself in the head and he's probably got a load of cash in his bank.

I tought that was funny as fuck! These kind of things never happen in American cinema, so that was kinda refreshing... Its just a movie. The fact that the movie is that much over the top is what make it so much fun. You just can't take this movie seriously.

Planet ****** was Rodriguez's film, Tarantino's was Death Proof

Well now that I've seen this TWICE and finally being unbanned (broke a record on this site btw), so anyway this has been the best 6 hours of my life ever. I loved every minute of this movie. I love the gore and cheesiness of Planet ******, the purposefully scratches on the print. Rose McGowen was absolutely hot, and I nearly blew my load once she had the machine *** leg, hottest scene ever! I actually liked Death Proof and in typical QT style has some great dialogue, and you really got to know the characters before they were ****** by Stuntman Mike. The 2nd half with the stunt chicks was even better, man I really fell in love Zoe Bell, she stole the whole part well playing herself. I am just disappointed it didn't do well at the box office, as I thought for sure it would be a bog hit ala 300, but oh well guess no one can appreciate a movie like Grindhouse, yet a movie like fucking Wild Hogs can gross 150 plus, go figure!

Glad this thread got such a good responses, and sorry Lady Love your own thread, but I'm glad you apprecuated the movie as much as I did.

Once again, i agree, i LOVED this movie!!!!!!!

I think that Grindhouse sounds really interesting. It caught my attention with the zombie part. Or perhaps it was the fact that Tarantino did part of it.

But I am not familiar with this kind of movie. How long is it in total?

I have read that it'll be split into two separate movies here, and that they'll be released a couple of months apart. But perhaps that's better than sitting through two movies for several hours. Especially if you're not interested in both parts. :dunno:

It's 3 hours, I hope it doesn't get split in two parts for you though, it's much better seeing them together.

Yes, if it's just three hours total, then I'd definately prefer that they aren't split. Both parts sound cool anyway, so I'd rather not pay twice and have to waith a couple of months between the parts.

Yeah! NO ONE wants to miss the fake trailers!:D
Thankfully the fake trailers will apparatnly still be included if the movie is split. There are four of them, right? So I'm just assuming that they'll have two each before the main part.

I'm still hoping that it's not actually true that it'll be split. Hopefully it's just a rumor started by someone, or the producers realize that it'll be a bad idea.

Yeah and its based on those old grindhouse drive in where you went there to see 2 different exploitation movies, so splitting them would kind of ruin it and what its dedicated to. The point of the movie is two movies!

What is stupid is that I heard they(some producers) want to split them because of how bad it did at the box office, but the box office doesnt mean anything! Grindhouse was on theater on easter day and on easter day people mostly went to see **** movies not a gore fest! Hell, **** fest like Are We Done Yet? Have done better on the box office, does that mean the movie is better? No way!

Anyway, go see it before they split it(if they do)! You won't be disapointed, there's nothing more entertaining than this movie! and I warn you, Death Proof kind of take a while to really start, but lets just say the characters are very well developped and anyway the last 30 minutes are non stop action!

and don't take it seriously...Its not suppose to...Some people didnt understand that it was not suppose to be taken seriously, that's why it got some(very minimal) bad reviews!:lame:
