Green Day singer kicked off plane over low trousers

Well, fuck it...I'll be the brave/stupid one...I like Green Day. I thought their last two albums were actually way better than the early stuff.

I don't give a **** how Billy Joe dresses, or what happened on the plane.

I dig their tunes.

And I don't give a **** what ya'll think about that.

Just sayin'.

pretty much figured it was something ridiculous like this. know what i think? maybe the makeup and spiky hair scared the fucking under educated, under skilled flight attendant....you know...anyone who looks the slightest bit different might be working for al fucking queda...just sayin', just throwin' that out there....everyone is screaming about low pants....bet ya anything it wasn't that at all.

Pull up your pants and dress like a grown up, idiot.

He's a rock star. Like it or not, he doesn't have to grow up. That's one of the perks.

green day.

buncha sellouts.

/thread.

and if you were in a band, you wouldn't "sell out" to make a mint and do what you want? that is, get your music out to as many people as possible for the most amount of money you could get? that's kinda the point of trying to break into the music business....calling a band, any band, a "sellout" is such a cliche cop-out.....they're damned if they do, damned if they don't....it's an argument with no merit, and usually perpetrated by those who have no business shouting out such a comment.

just my :2 cents:

Rock on, Billie Joe.

I'm 20, so no I have never been married. And just so you know, I don't wear my pants low like that. I just don't see why it's a big deal if someone else does.

And if people are actually offended by people wearing their pants low, they are going to have a very tough time getting by in the real world.

i already knew you was 20..i could tell...let me walk you through this...what you do is your buisness...until it bothers other people...walking around with with your ass hanging out = needs to clean it up..grow up..and get a job...and pull his wayyyyy to damn big pants up..junkie looking mf

just because you sign a record deal, it sure doesnt mean you have to sell out.

look at the ramones, the dead kenndys. they never made **** but they stayed true to their music. never changed.

green day, on the other hand, turned into a buncha pop bubblegum douches concerned only with popularity and money. thats not punk.

being in several bands myself, some good, some not so great, i would choose to keep my identity over changing for the sake of finding that "radio sound" that sells. the music business is dead, my friends. its all studio time and image.

i, for one, miss when music was actually good. :10 cents:

how many people complained?
did the passengers vote?
was it the stewardess's decision?
where does it exactly say what you can and cannot wear?specifically.
what if he pulled his pants up,got on the plane and, right after take off, decided to pull it back down?what then?land at the nearest airport to get him off????
funny thing:probably the same people that want to ***** people not to wear their pants like that, are the same people that don't want muslim women wearing the veil,or the burqa.
so:you can't show "too much",you can't show "too little".
just stay in the middle.like a good ***.where you're easy to get.

society is getting more and more conservative and extreme and stupid. If we care for freedom, and if this freedom does not infringe on others (he didn't rub his ass on someone's face, now did he? ),then no one should tell you to do otherwise.let alone ***** you to abide by some rule...
it always starts with the little things....then moves up...

and again:I **** that kind of wearing the pants.just to be clear.

I can not fucking wait until the "." key on your computer breaks forever. What a fucking irritating way to write.

Just sayin'

So you can tell I'm 20, eh? By the way you type, I can tell you're either 8, or just didn't pay attention in English class. Or maybe you just moved here from Zimbabwe.

Corny jokes aside, you don't need to walk me through anything. Like I said, if you're that damn bothered with someone wearing their pants low, you're going to have a tough time out there in the real world. We live in a world full of sexism, racism, homophobia, recession, gangs and other serious social issues. The last thing you should be worried about is how someone dresses. The only person that needs to grow up is the guy who gets his panties in a bunch over seeing some other guy's boxers.

I always laugh when I see a grown man who never outgrew the obscure style or fad that he was rocking in highschool.

I guess in 20 years we will be seeing 40 year old emos with skinny jeans.

Imagine if you saw a girl who wore her pants half way down on her ass and baggy pants? You would much rather see her in some nice jeans so you can see the shape of her ass. A woman probably thinks the same way about a man wearing jeans fallling off his ass, its pathetic.

Actually your 20 and you have this sense of entitlement to the world. You probably think that what you want to do you shoudl be allowed to do it. Great in theory, horrible in practical application. You wont find that out till your around 34. Thats when you start to realise that "Hay, I cant be an offending dick hole my whole life else I wont get **** where in my work environment". Now, if you come from money, well good on you then believe what you want. Man am I rambling today or what.

^Well just so you know, I don't go around showing my ass like that. I really don't go around trying to be offensive; I just don't understand the idea of being so bothered by how someone else dresses.

Not rambling, you are correct. Rep for you.

I think the thing is: A lot of things are öegal, yet you really do not HAVE to do them. Yeah, the punk attitude, or 'Rebel Without A Cause', pick your way of life.

I think it's good to go through that, because I know some guys who were the boring grown-ups they are now since they were 13.

But if you don't accept on one fine day that provoking others is a waste of energy and just stupid, well...

He just thought he'd be a wise ass, big time rock star and get his way.

Billie honestly seems like the type of dude who needs his teeth knocked out to **** his uppity ass up proper.
