Good topic Senor. :hatsoff:

# 10.... :)

Now am I referring to Brazil's or to Argentina's? ;)

I've always been partial to Ronaldo. Not that crybaby Cristiano.

Didn't he use steroids or some ****?

1) Diego Maradona
2) Franz Beckenbauer

That was a great goal, one of the all time greatest, but the only good tackle the English players put in, was when the ball was going in the net. They let him run with the ball. I blame the English midfield and defence. I think Maradona was not consistent enough as some of the other players listed in this poll. Internationally he was only any good in the 86 world cup. Sent home from 1994 world cup after failing a ***** test for another ****** substance. League, I believe he played for Barcelona and then went to on to an italian team, when he was in his prime. (I could be wrong)

Not enough consistantly great performances, ******* addiction and ***** cheat. That is why I didn't choose him.

All of them in their own way, hard to compare players over different generations as football has changed so much over the years (ie better goalkeeping/defending now as well as footballs and pitches etc) whilst some players like Messi have been phenomenal at club level but done little at national level. Think this thread would be better to look at peoples personal favourite players, would be far more interesting without the same names popping up. I was always a fan of Paolo Maldini and Claudio Caniggia, two great strikers missing from the list are Gabriel Batistuta and Romario, both clinical finishers.
