She listed it on Ebay...that's what she said, isn't it? "I put it on Ebay". Fuel costs and upkeep on the jet were eliminated, so what if it was sold for less than "Blue Book" price? She sold it.
She did reject the bridge to nowhere; keeping the money and using it was smart... where is your smoking *** here?
:dunno:
Wrong. Rewatch the speech. She said "sold" it on eBay. Only later did she "fix" the phrase to "put" it on eBay. Why does she bother highlighting a failure though? It didn't sell. She resorted to "giving it away" to some crony at a steep discount. Why does McCain continue to say she made a profit on the sale? Can't he get the facts straight or does he not care?
When funds are allocated for a specific project (the Bridge to Nowhere) and that project is stopped, isn't it ethical to return those funds? Or did she just scribble out the name "Bridge to Nowhere" on the $260million check and write in "Election Funds"
She also said "To the parents of special needs ********, you have a friend in the oval office." When, in fact, she cut special needs healthcare funding in Alaska by $5mil?
The Republican base knows nothing or cares nothing about her beliefs or accomplishments. All they see is "a beautiful, hometown girl" who makes them feel good. It is the political equivalent of Paris Hilton being the Veep.
