Energy Independence, Development, and Environmental Stewardship
1) Governor Sarah Palin’s cornerstone accomplishment was AGIA, the Alaska Gas line Inducement Act. During the Palin administration, an alignment was formed be-tween Trans-Canada and Exxon to build a natural gas pipeline from Alaska to the Lower 48. More progress was made during Governor Palin’s two years in office than in the previous 30 years. This is the largest private sector infrastructure project in North American history and helps put us on the path to energy independence.
2) During Governor Palin’s administration, drilling for oil and natural gas at Pt. Thompson was done for the first time in decades.
3) Governor Palin created Alaska’s Petroleum Systems Integrity Office, which over-sees all aspects of energy development, as well as a Climate Change Sub-cabinet to comprehensively and honestly evaluate climate change.
Fiscal Conservatism
1) During her administration, Governor Palin reduced earmark requests for the state of Alaska by 80%, and requested only ear-marks that would benefit the country as a whole.
2) Governor Palin’s budget for Fiscal Year 2010 was more than one billion dollars smaller than the previous governor’s Fiscal Year 2007 budget, a 9.5% real reduction in spending. Her FY2010 budget was $10.57 billion compared with Governor Murkowski’s FY2007 budget of nearly $11.7 billion. At the same time, she fulfilled a campaign promise to forward-fund education, allowing districts greater flexibility and predictability in their planning.
3) Governor Palin opposed much of the “stimulus,” originally wanting only to accept 55% of the funding allocated to Alaska, and to use those funds only for infrastructure projects. Although the legislature overturned her veto, she stood firm on her commitment to allow Alaska to be responsible for itself, and not to add to the skyrocketing national debt.

3) Governor Palin demonstrated her support for Alaskan soldiers by visiting them in Kosovo and Kuwait.

She hasn't read her name in the papers for a while, she hasn't been able to sell her new reality show and contributions to SaraPAC are down since she isn't running so she has to make some noise. Even Ailes is mad at her and probably won't renew her contract with Fox. So she makes some noise and hopefully the money starts rolling in again. Its that or get Bristol into Playboy and I don't think that Hef is that senile yet.

While I haven't lived in Alaska, my sister and her family, as well as by brother have been residents far longer than "Principal Victoria" has been around. I also know others who either live there or go up for seasonal work. Palin is a joke to everyone, was a joke to everyone and a quitter to everyone. Most of the citizens of Wasilla loath having their town and Palins name being synonymous.
