Google Chrome

I used to have 3 browser sessions open: Opera, FF and Chrome -- and the netbook would be quite unresponsive when browsing -- and switching between . This has been happening for a couple of months . I've just over last couple of days stopped firing up Chrome and noticed a vast improvement in responsiveness. strange, as I always thought Chrome was adept at handling memory management ? Anyone else had this issue? maybe just my imagination ??

Wait, you would have three browsers open on the same computer? Seems like the browsers aren't the problem, but having three open at the same time might be.Then again,I'm far from an expert on computers.

lol ! good point and so true. I just prefer to have three separate browsers -- as opposed to multiple windows within windows (that gets a bit messy )/ so yes , perhaps u are right . also, it is a netbook too ; anyhow, with just FF and Opera open things are much better. just downloaded k-meleon and will see how that goes too.

Honestly,I wouldn't trust any browsers other than FF,Opera, and Chrome.I tried another one years ago, can't even remember the name.It looked pretty cool, and the functionality was pretty solid, but that **** gave me a virus real quick.

Just stick with either of the big three and you'll be fine.

fair point, thanks zell. anyone had any experience of k-meleon browser ??

I just switched to Chrome a couple of weeks ago. Other than a few little quirks, seems OK. The one thing I'm confused about. When wanting to play a video on WMP, it wanted me to save the video rather than just play it, so I looked in Help & it gave me a site to download a chrome version of WMP. But where the confusion comes in, is it says it's the same driver as FireFox. So what's the dif between FF & Chrome?

Internet Explorer is the best now. Always root for the under dog.;)

had enough of shitty FF now ! am using Opera 11 and Chrome .

IE is not the underdog, it is actually used by almost 41% of all internet surfers

Re: Google Chrome Problems

Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but.....

--Chrome users beware. There is a bug specific to Chrome that causes random suspicious sites to open up in new tabs as you click on links. It's about a year or so old, and Google has no idea what's behind it. If you get this problem, here's the solution: UNINSTALL Google Chrome. Then REINSTALL it. That's the only thing that has worked for me.

Or just uninstall it and never reinstall. I'm still waiting on them to change their name to Skynet. ;)
