He also made a mean bowl of soup.

Mine was this...

And as a part of LA's The Wrecking Crew ... The intro to Mike Nesmith's "Mary, Mary." was played by Glen Campbell. That "oriental" sound ... For the first two years, 1966 and 1967, The Monkees were not allowed to play their own instruments.

Glen Campbell April 22, 1936 – August 8, 2017. Rest In Peace :angels:

Thanks John

Gotta learn the new format.

I knew Glenn Campbell was a hell of a guitar player when I saw him go note for note against Pete Townsend.

They mentioned that he outsold the Beatles in 1965.

Hard to believe.

Well, shit. That pretty much ruined my day.

So long, Glenn Campbell. We hardly knew ye.

the special one
Glen actually.
I've always loved Gentle On my Mind :(

Didn't realize that it is spelled "Glen" until you mentioned it.

All of these years I thought it was "Glenn"

A very sad day indeed. :crying:

By the Time I Get to Phoenix & Wichita Lineman are two of my classic favorites for sure.

He suffered from Alzheimers as my father did as well so I have a special brand of compassion for his plight and that of his family. Rest in peace, cowboy. We're all linin' up behind you just waitin' our turn.

Yeah,
I just watched this entire show and I felt it. So much in not even an hour.
Glenn, Jerry Reed, Tim Conway, Carol Burnett, and John Wayne.
At least skim through it if you were a fan, you wont be disappointed.

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
I've never really been into country music, but he was certainly a defining pioneer, and an underrated guitar player. It is a sad day for the music world, that is undeniable. R.I.P. Mr. Campbell.
