Get My Freeones Points from Reputation Points!

Some of you with a lot of reputation points may have noticed that your My Freeones points have increased! That's because now you can recieve My Freeones points via reputation points! Here's how it works:

First 50 reputation points = 100 My Freeones points

Every 50 reputation points until 250 = 100 My Freeones points

250 reputation points = a one time only 250 My Freeones points

Every 50 reputation points after 250 = 200 My Freeones points

Reputation points aren't just earned by another member giving them to you. You can earn them through your board activity as well. I learn something new every day. ;-)

Actually, I wouldn't worry about it too much. I just got done talking with the person that programmed this and there are some safeguards involved. I won't go into details but there's limits on rep clicks per day and post count matters too.

Be assured that I'm keeping an eye on this plus I have the mod team to look out for any rep abusers.

I don't see rep as a game at all. It is supposed to be a way for members to show appreciation for a contribution to the board or a well written opinion by other members.

I do agree with not making it a competition part 100%.

Am worried that you're being a tad too generous with the My FreeOnes points. Also, as more and more of us are getting increasingly powerful rep-wise, accumulating 50 rep points isn't as difficult as it was when we were newbies. Maybe if it had been on a 1:1 basis...

Also have to admit to being quite frivolous when it comes to giving rep-points (Close to 100? Have Rep! Haven't seen you in a while? Have Rep! Ask me nicely. There you go...) Do you urge us to be be more stringent?
