Game of Thrones

My favorites are(in no particular order)
Varys

Fuck yeah! Best character in the show, right there. Both in terms of how he's written and how the actor plays him.

I also think Theon's progression has been fantastic this year. He's a character you want to hate, but you can understand his need to "belong". Hence his actions.

Anyway:

The version of this I've seen had the best one:

Hodor!

I suppose we can admire Jon for his restraint if not good sense. I would have sexual intercourse with Ygritte in a heartbeat, vows be damned. What happens in the middle of a frozen wasteland stays in the middle of a frozen wasteland. Furthermore, I want to commend the people who cast Ygritte. Her, Varys and Tywin Lannister (without the beard) are exactly the images in my head as I read the books.

As the last book isn't written yet - we can still hope to discover that:

- Jon is the Son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark;
- Daenary's will become Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, conquer the Free Cities, and start a Pax-Daenaryana;
- Ramsey Snow/Bolton dies a gruesome death;
- Sansa Stark gets the receipt for all the misfortune she's caused her family - or alternatively returns to her Husband Tyrion;
- Arya Stark becomes the new Head of House Stark;
- The Nightswatch regains much of it's former Glory and High-Standing with the People, and rules are changed a bit;
- Jorah Mormont becomes the new Lord Commander of the Nightwatch;
- Bran Stark becomes some sort of whatever for the Northern People for his abilities to control animals;
- Tyrion Lannister will become new Head of House Lannister;
- Samwell "Sam" Tarly evolves into a Grand Maester;
- Petyr "Little Finger" Baelish get's thrown out of the Moon Door;
- Rickon Stark gets over his unrulyness and becomes more like his Father and Brother Robb;
- Varys is finally explained and then exiled;
- Sandor "The Hound" Clegane is discovered to be alive and lives the life of a Monk;
- Jon gets to bang and marry Daenarys - though then again, if she is his Aunt, that would be incest - and couldn't be shown on TV... (though it would be in line with Targaryen Royal Traditions to marry Brothers and Sisters, in this case Nephew and Aunt, who are the same age though).

I'm really hoping that this season doesn't end with the loss of a likeable major character: Tyrion. They wouldn't kill off the cool, little dude... would they?! Kill Sansa instead. She's expendable... and hella annoying!

No worries, he'll stick around for quite some time.

Unfortunately his wife won't get killed off in visible future either.

i love this show! my favorite right now :)

Mine too. Even though it was probably some kind of dream sequence, I thought it was pretty cool to see Khal Drogo return in the season finale. I think this show does an amazing job of maintaining interest in the dozen or so main characters and storylines. I'm also getting a kick out of seeing porn stars that I recognize. It took a while, but I finally realized that the girl that Joffrey had whipped while she was bent across the bed was Masie Dee. And since she's really into S&M, that made it kind of ironic.

I'm tempted to spoil myself by checking the song of ice and fire wiki to see who bites it and who's still alive.

Kind of ironic that you posted a pic of George, since he apparently was in an episode last season... sorta/kinda.

George W. Bush's head on a stake

The creators of HBO's"Game of Thrones" found themselves in a bit of hot water on Wednesday when word spun around the Internet that former President George W. Bush's likeness made a very unflattering cameo in the first season of the epic fantasy series. More specifically: a prop severed head bearing the former president's likeness appeared mounted on a stick.

Though the head was given a wig of long hair, spattered in mud and turned mostly away from the camera, the distinctive upper lip was a giveaway. And the creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss pointed it out in the DVD commentary on the episode.

"George Bush's head appears in a couple of beheading scenes," the duo revealed in their commentary. "It's not a choice, it's not a political statement. We just had to use whatever heads we had lying around."

I thought the second season finale was a huge letdown.
