I hate politics almost as much as anybody, but unfortunately it's an intricate ingrained part of our lives that greatly effects people. It's hard not to talk about it if you take your life and the fate of humanity and the world seriously. It would be nice if the world worked for the betterment of everybody and we could all live in peace, but that’s not reality.

(I could also point out that without the political threads most of the talk section would end up being threads like Who Has the Best Ass #4354 or something similar, a who vs. who do you like better threads, juvenile threads about some sex act and even then it's probably been done before, or some threads about as bad as those.)
