Going after Backpage is about the only thing that I agreed with Kamala Harris on.
I thought backpage was some closed facebook group page when I heard about it few months ago.

I was thinking that. Shutting down this site that apparently has ***** sex slavery going on, but only conducted law search or whatever article called it at home of the founder. Didn't they just disperse the problem now across the internet sea?

No Will, Backpage couldn't police it's self. Backpage was alerted about the trafficking and minors situation on their site. They had the opportunity to do something on their own. They failed.
The problem is going to move elsewhere? It is already happening elsewhere. Shut Backpage down now and chase the others doing the same thing. Is allowing Backpage to continue ******* their freedom of doing ...something? Shutting down a deli that has ***** porn filmed in the back room isn't a ********* of free market.

The seizure of Backpage.com was/is a big deal. There was an article in USAToday about it - from a sex worker's point of view. About how it had safety aspects to it, that they relied on.
One of the women interviewed for the article mentioned possibly changing her marketing to Eros.com - but it was more expensive than Backpage was. I just checked, and Eros *is* operational; FYI.
