It has definitely made the races less of a procession as has KERS.

KERS is negated by the leading car activating it too. It actually seems kind of pointless (unless one car loses the system during the race). The same was true in the IRL and in Champ Car when they used "Push to Pass" systems. The drivers used to refer to it as "Push NOT to Be ******".

But I really like the DRS. Unlike KERS, unless you block, there is no way to defeat that system advantage. In this age of aero dependent cars, I think the FIA was right on the money by allowing that system. I also like the innovative approach that Mercedes/Brawn took in implementing a system that takes drag off the front wing when the rear wing is opened. Very smart!
