Remember folks, this is a porn board. People come here expecting naked chicks, hot hardcore action, and the ocassional filthy and gross picture or topic. If that's too much for you, I suggest finding a board that discusses the calming effects of underwater basket weaving.

That's quoted from the Flaming Guidelines.

Oh, and I'm stealing Jesus Tapdancing Christ...maybe morph it into Jesus Rollerblading while Tapdancing Chist. Lots to ponder. :)

Well, in my own way I was making that exact same point.

That is my question. How do we go about defining what a troll is. Is it just someone with an opinion that is not popular or someone who is inflammatory. Where do you draw the line?

To me... someone who posts in threads with no reasonable intent to discuss the issue or when they do and they are disagreed with...they stop discussing the issue altogether then resort to outright personal attacks.

(I'm not Petra but...)
I don't consider trolling;

1. Ridiculing a point.
2. Engaging in an elongated back and forth as long as both individuals are addressing points.
3. Offering examples of the circumstances in an issue or analogous circumstances to prove a point.
4. Talking down to someone (who deserves it and...some people based on the shit they try to perpetuate just deserve it...:dunno:)
5. Quoting their post in a response to them. Some people get heartburn over that for some reason. I would ask them...what the fuck do they think the quote feature is for if not that among other things?? I mean, I get that some people have a problem seeing their words...and a direct and obvious point contradicting what they said but...I would never think that it amounts to trying to attack the person.
6. (Reserve the right to add to this list)

What's the purpose of you quoting me mannnnnnn???:hairpull::hairpull:

You could have just posted a response two pages later and I would have figured out you were addressing me...:o

Wikipedia said:
In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion. The noun troll may refer to the provocative message itself, as in: "That was an excellent troll you posted". While the word troll and its associated verb trolling are associated with Internet discourse, media attention in recent years has made such labels subjective, with trolling describing intentionally provocative actions outside of an online context. For example, mass media uses troll to describe "a person who defaces Internet tribute sites with the aim of causing grief to families."

Troll: One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument.
I've also heard the term used to describe a stalker-like poster who follows the same user(s) into multiple threads with no intent other than to attack the user(s) they are stalking.

I'm no troll, but I'm going to spend quite a lot of time an energy disagreeing with your post. Then I'm going to make a totally unrelated statement. Finally, when you take issue with what I have said, I will become offended, and will report every single one of your posts.

No trolling in this thread. We discuss trolls here. We don't invite them to comment on their behaviour.

Sorry....but it was just the prettiest high, hanging curve ball you ever wanted to smack out of the park though wasn't it?:dunno:
