It's a tie between the Resident Evil and Grand Theft Auto series. And out of both, it's a tie between RE2 and GTAIII.

The only game I've consistantly come back to over the years more than any game, even if I haven't spent as much consecutive time with it as, say, Final Fantasy VII or VIII, or Ocarina of Time, Perfect Dark, or Halo...

...and thus my favorite, is StarCraft.

as i was a genesis kid i like sonic 2, and halo was a lot of fun playing between floors in dorms

I'm a huge fan of Virtua Fighter 4 (I play EVO, but it's all good)
And VF5 is gonna be a huge deciding factor for getting a PS3 over an XBox360

Other faves - Final Fantasy 6. I love 7 and 8, but I still think 6 is the best (with 4 being a close second)

GTA. I love 3, VC and SA, but after playing each new entry, the old ones get harder and harder to play.
