2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), cool movie!

I voted A Clockwork Orange, but FMJ was awesome, and even though I still don't understand Eyes Wide Shut after watching it several times, the orgy scene is kind of a fantasy for me.

Yeah he made some of the best movies of all time, all five movies are fantastic and everybody who is interested in movies should know them I think.

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
I chose A Clockwork Orange as my favorite. But there are several that one could make an argument for. Kubrick was a master of getting inside your head and then breaking furniture while he was in there.

2) Dr. Strangelove
3) Full Metal Jacket
4) 2001
5) Lolita

Great topic, BTW.

So many great ones to choose from. I remember first seeing A Clockwork Orange in high school after one of my buddy saw it and he kept telling me that I had to watch it. I did, and I was blown away. The first time I saw it, it didn't really frighten me, I think because I was just trying to understand it. The more I saw it though, the more it started to scare me, and to this day it is still one of the scariest movies to me.

The whole list, aside from a few IMO are great, but I'm going to say The Shining. He really hit the ball out of the park on that one.

Choosing a favorite Kubrick flick is like trying to choose your favorite child. 2001 is on my all time favorite movie list so I will say that one.

I'm a fan of Eyes Wide Shut.....man, he made Nicole Kidman look so fucking hot in that movie!

I went with Full Metal Jacket. But the best line from any of his films is from Dr. Strangelove.

The President: "Gentlemen , you can't fight in here. This is a WAR room."
I laugh everytime i think about it
