Have you ever had a song stuck in your head for a long time but can't remember what it is?
Maybe you've got the tune down and a few words but you just can't remember what the hell it is.
I hate that.
I post this because for about a year I have been trying to figure out what a certain song was based on a tune and one line( love you every single something or other) I remembered. I would search the net from time to time, with no luck,it was frustrating .
I finally found it by chance on youtube just now.
What a weight off my back.
Has this ever happened to any of you?

BTW,It was the Beach boys - Darlin

YES!!! It really gets under my skin when I can't think of the name of the song. The worst is when you have a song stuck in your head that you only know one or two lines for. That line or two keep going around in your head like it was a clogged toilet. Fuck, I hate when that happens! :crash:

Well it happens quite alot to me. The bad thing is it is usually songs that I hate with the intensity of 1000 suns. God forbid me get a badass industrial beat in my head.

Oh ya, that tends to happen.
Hell i think a song actually played in one of my dreams, and when i woke up the tune was barely there, and i couldn't remember the song or find out what it was.
Tis weird.

Has anyone ever noticed how effective radio and TV commercial "jingles" can be ?

There's a local jeweler here who has scheduled his radio commercials to be run approx 7 - 8:30 AM and after 2PM. You see, he has the children singing his jingle while in transport to and from school. Now mom is walking . . and driving around with jewelery on her mind. :nono: !

The "song stuck in head" can be a very effective marketing tool :o

yeah, it happens.

Growing up in the suburbs of Portland, Oregon, I used to have to spend a couple hours on the riding mower buzzing the family's lawn. And for some reason Barry Manilow's "Copa Cabana" would usually haunt me every minute of it! Fucking nightmare.

With a story like that, it's a wonder I'm not gay, right??

Never, but it happens with babes. Not in real life, mind you, only on the net etc.

Damn ! What was her name ? !!

When I was about 12 or 13, I had a paper round and I remember one morning, the song "Come On Eileen" by Dexy's Midnight Runners was playing in my head. I just couldn't stop it and even began to kind of do it to spite myself. It drove me so crazy that I smashed up my bike and ripped up all the papers. They never did get delivered.

I think it was around that time I began to realise that I may be a little disturbed and mentally unbalanced.

It has since been proven.

I always have a song stuck in my head. It's either a song I listen to all the time, or one that I heard on a commercial or I heard in the background of a video I'm watching. If I don't know the song, I try to listen to as much of the words as possible then do a search for the title.
