Europe, here I come...?

Hello
Me and my friends has been talking for quite a while about taking a trip down to Europe before we all go different ways and etc you know what I mean - we just graduated high school.

Anyway, we're a bit split on where to go. Me and some of us wants Amsterdam, for the coffee shops and well, it seems like a nice place. Good clubbing too.
But others aren't into weed and stuff and those who aren't suspect the coffee shops will make us boring and unwilling to do stuff. Also, there's another couple of guys who want to go to a warmer place.

I'm not really oriented on where the best clubs are, although I've heard good things about the house scene in Paris. And London is pretty expensive and I've been there 2 times already.

Well, any ideas are appreciated. What's a good destination for partying and just having fun in general? Not outside of Europe and preferrably not the most expensive place :)

Czech republic.. prague.. I've heard that's where they store all the priceless valuables. Like Nella.

Well if only a minor percentage of all the busty czech women I've heard of live there it would still be like heaven. And the beer is awesome too, good idea :)
keep em coming

For sun I would choose Croatia, Turkey and Spain
For fun The Nertherlands (off course)
For culture you can go to Greece, Italy or Spain.

For Beer, England off course.

Good luck.

I want beer, fun and hopefully sun and legal pot-smoking too. Combining culture with all that won't work, I'm afraid ;)

Go to Sicily. Then, Tunisia via Malta. Or follow Patton's route up to Italy.

If you're looking for something different, I'd recommend a hitchhiking trip through the Balkans. But keep away from big cities, go rural. If you're able to play a musical instrument, take it with you. Albania, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Romania, Hungary... Don't bother for Austria, head for Prague.

Come to England... where free surgery, with very sharp knives, can be had on any street corner.

I love big booty too!
If you only come to Amsterdam for the weed, I'd say stay the fuck away. We got plenty of those dopeheads. Amsterdam has way more to offer than just coffeeshops and coffeeshops in cities near the German border (e.g. Arnhem, Enschede) sell way better and cheaper stuff than their Amsterdam counterparts.

I would start in England and go to London, then take train to France and visit Caen and Paris. Then continue to Berlin and then straight to Prague. Way home would be kinda tricky, Croatia is really nice during summer, and so is Valentia and Ibiza. From there I'd take a train through south France up to Paris and then flight from there to home.

I'd skip ...

I'd skip London and Paris.

Instead, hit Ireland and Scotland, round through Italy and Greece, consider the Ukraine and Finland. If you then have time, then hit German, France and England.

Of course, I've never been outside the western hemisphere, so I'm talking 2nd hand. I've just planned my 2-3 week trip several times now, but never had the opportunity to go.

In fact, I haven't had more than 2 days off from work since 2004.

Na, I got to disagree with Prof Voluptuary on Paris. Only the Eiffeltower and Arch de Triumph makes up for the Paris visit. And you will also get a chance to see some crazy ass car driving. The roundabout at the arch is insane, 8 lanes with practically no rules whatsoever. Funny as hell. In fact me and my friends was soo close to drive our car in that mess we were shaking. Luckily we got out by putting our warning-lights on and made a u-turn on the parade-street.

London however is real treat. Stay out of Brixton 24/7 tho... and Camden at night. Bayswater was quite popular when I was there last time (nov-07). The funny thing about London is that there are soooo damn many pubs. You can start at one end of the street and when you reach the other end your drunk as hell.. even tho just taking one pint at each pub :D

Finland, my neighbouring country. Tampere has it's Sauna open Air, heavy/death/black metal festival in the summer. That's sure as hell worth a visit. But if you go there you should stop in Sweden as well and just enjoy all the beautiful girls and then take the boat to Finland.

Ukraine, Kiev, sure, I'd like to go there... but only for the stripclubs. But for that I can almost promise Prague is just as good. And it's less dangerous than Ukraine.

However I totally agree with Prof about Italy. It's has historical monuments and Rome has it's old style. Stay out of Napoli tho, mafia is owning that town.

Remember tho that here from Sweden it's only a 11-12 hour drive and you're in Berlin, 20 hour drive and your in Prague.

Wherever you go ... Don't go to Belgium!

Too fucking right. God damn it what a boring country. Sorry to anyone on this forum who calls this place home. (Not because of offending you, just because I'm sorry you have to live there)

I'd skip London and Paris.

London and Paris are great cities, instead you've named countries. Where exactly in Ireland and Scotland would you suggest?...

Okay then, skip England and France.

Oh, several! Especially in Scotland.

And if I went to France, I'd be more inclined to avoid the populous areas, but that's just me.
I often don't visit major cities when I go anywhere.

Estonia is supposed to be the place to be. Place called Tallinn is where you'll find all the fun, and very cheap too!

That´s what i´d do too. Smoke weed legaly and visit strip clubs in the netherlands and cross the border to Germany within 10 minutes. Theres a region we call the "Ruhrpott". It´s a cluster of several big cities (like Dortmund) all VERY close
to one another with a huge variety of possibilities for the nightlife. (...and good beer!) Always go for "Krombacher Pils"! :D
