Quit because of God? Not so simple ...
If you read various posts and comments she's made, you can see some of the larger questions she had. One that always stuck out was sheer number of men who told her, "if I only had a woman like you," as if she was the answer to all their problems. I can only imagine what those repeat, continuous e-mails, messages, etc... made her think, especially since she was so broadly popular.
There is a huge, spiritual question in that discussion. I can't answer for her, but many religious texts claim and even blame the temptation of woman by man on the man. Spiritually, and obvious in my eyes, the temptation is the man unable to control himself, and has nothing to do with the woman. Regardless of what she does, it does not excuse the actions of a man from himself and his own responsibility.
I.e., in my, spiritual view, the natural delight and spectre of woman is beautiful and quite devine, nothing wrong with it. It's only men who do not respect the wishes of women, lust uncontrollably to the point they are not responsible and try to blame others for that "temptation" that are the problem. If men (and women) would just be responsible for their actions, as they make them, then we wouldn't need this whole evil/good bullshit.
People would just respect one another, clothed or nude, in erotic moments as well as in professional situations.
I would say she exited the adult industry because she sought answers for many questions, and believed her journey would be best served by such an exit.

I don't see why it's so hard to believe that someone could have a change of heart about being in that biz, and just quit (for whatever reason).

Anyone know where to find other pictures of the photoshoot that this picture is a part of?

The person that posted it on flickr mentioned that the pictures in the couple up on that set were for a shoot on Aug. 2001 for ShowingSkin.com, but that site doesn't exist now (don't know if it did before), and I know years ago I asked Erica herself in e-mail, and she said she didn't have the pictures from this photoshoot and didn't do work with this photographer anymore. Anyone know where to find the rest of the photoshoot, or if it exists anywhere else anymore?
As a sidenote, I've found 2 or 3 other pictures from the photoshoot, but I have a huge gap from what I'd figure is the beginning to a point where she is completely naked.
It is definitely not her most erotic or sexual work, but it is one of my favorites. I can't say why, as I don't know why, it was the first pictures I saw of her, though. It's funny that the first ones I saw can't be found by almost anyone nowadays.
Maybe later I'll post up the couple of others I have from that shoot.

I know the set you mean and it is OLD! There was a time when I preferred her post limelight work to the professional stuff that followed. She had appeal as an amateur, in fact I was surprised how big she was when I found her in a copy of.....god I cant even remember the name of the magazine now!

I have to agree with you guys..this is one of the best sets of her...once you find it let me know....this set seems amazing
