I could go on forever about Iron Maiden (and I likely will). Right now, I'm listening to a few of their more recent albums.

The intro by Dave Murray is very eloquent, the main riff (3 guitars) is a monster.



Adrian Smith's accompaniment through the verses (e.g. 2:17-2:37) kills, and the 3 part guitar through the chorus is classic Maiden.



At 2:35, a straight-forward 3 chord progression features a run by Adrian Smith @ 2:43 which simply fucking owns.



Of course, one can never discount Steve Harris' bass playing ...
