Here's a riff that'll knock you on your ass ... :banger:

... with a vocal to match.

wished i had laminated my ticket stub for this show, Reunion Arena Dallas,TX
i was 16 and had the best time ever, it was one big party!

I went to a show in St. Louis when I was 16 or 17. I swear to God (I couldn't make this shit up), Rob Halford was checking me out from the stage for most of the show. It was years later that the big fuckin' secret came out that he was gay. I was like, "No shit motherfuckers."

this was epic when it released way back in 1978,lol

well i was trying to insert Eddie Van Halen's Eruption

i do not know the youtube trick:dunno:

You're so gay you make the Gay Pride flag look like the Confederate Flag!
Negative Rep that you cocksucker....
Back on topic...EPICNESS!

lol

You may say Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Peter Green, Duane Allman, Frank Zappa, John McLaughlin, Ry Cooder, Keith Richards, Alvin Lee, Pete Townshend, Mick Taylor, Steve Vai, Leslie West, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Johnny Winter, Ritchie Blackmore, Mark Knopfler, and Carlos Santana...

But nobody tops James Marshall Hendrix....

You're leaving out one major cat on your list: David Gilmour.

Also, Eric Clapton's favorite song of all time:

If you want to see a guitar master, watch Jeff Beck: Live at Ronnie Scott's... dude is still GOAT.

Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Child.......PERIOD!

AFK..being taken to the vet to get neutered.
To the people posting random Vai, Malmsteen and Satriani videos, I thought this thread was for showing off great riffs, not guitarists who drank too much lemonade and jizz when they go up and down the fretboard in 10 sec, playing about 6 scales in that time.

To the people making random posts about what they thought threads were about, but were wrong in their conclusions and facile in their commentary, I have two replies: a witty, rapier like deconstruction; or just, 'Fuck Off'.

You can chose.

Here's a treat for your though.

O.G.
It's hard to believe that this man has been gone for nearly thirty years.

Imagine what he would have accomplished had he lived!
