Has anyone else seen these things? Does anyone own one or know someone who does? They range in price from $299.99-$449.99. I am intruiged by them but am really hesitant to spend that much money on a fucking fan! At Petco Park in San Diego, they have the Dyson Airblade hand dryer, which is really badass (as badass as hand dryers can be, I suppose) but how much better could these fans be than my $25 WalMart "conventional" fan? What do you guys think? $300 seems a bit steep for a fan that gets rid of, as they put it: "unpleasant buffeting." (As a side note, I've experienced some unpleasant buffeting in my day; mainly at my local Souplantation, but that's a different story.)
http://www.dyson.com/fans/default.aspDyson Air Multiplier™ fans work differently from conventional fans. They use Air Multiplier™ technology to draw in air and amplify it – from 15 to 18 times, depending on the model. With no blades or grille, they’re safe and easy to clean. And they produce an uninterrupted stream of smooth air, with no unpleasant buffeting.
