Dyson Air Multiplier "Bladeless" Fan

Slightly? What I meant to say is the product (the fan) will be discontinued.

I definitely understand your point, but Dyson really is known for quality products that are pretty pricey all-around. The cheapest upright vacuum they sell is $400 and they range all the way up to around $800 and people acutally buy them. Even their "hand-held" units - which I think are just glorified "Dust Busters" - start at $220. People seem to love their products, and according Forbes.com, Sir James Dyson (Founder of Dyson, obviously) is worth an estimated $1.0 Billion and is the world's 746th richest person, which tells me that people are indeed buying his "overpriced" appliances, and in high volume.

I agree with you, and most others in this thread, that the fan is grossly overpriced, but I think people out there would be and are willing to pay the price.

You can't really expect to pay a cheap price for a piece of technology like that straight off. When you buy a Dyson product, you know you are getting state-of-the-art, and I would expect to pay accordingly.

That's all I was saying. The price will either go down or not many people are going to buy it. I personally don't know anyone who would at that price. I just don't have any friends or family with that kind of money to throw away. You know with the economy and all.:dunno:
