As HM pointed out earlier, it sounds as if you've gotten yourself a yeast infection. If it is feasible for you to do so, go an see a health professional. Yeast infection or no, having your navel smell for a lot of the time can't be pleasant for you or those around you. You could try and flush it out with white vinegar first as HM advised first, but if that doesn't work it's should be definitely on your agenda to see someone about it.
Of course I wouldn't attempt to presume anything, but if you are overweight there is a much greater chance of being subject to these types of infections. The larger the stomach the deeper the navel, which therefore makes it harder to maintain cleanliness due to what to is and what is not feasible in terms of reaching those depths with what is at hand.
